Story
Meet Dottie! Age: ~2 years old Breed: Terrier/Chiweenie Mix Status: 100% adorable Dottie is a sweet, scruffy little lovebug with a big personality packed into a tiny body. She’s the kind of dog that makes you laugh every day—whether she’s exploring the backyard or trying to convince you that your lap is the only place she belongs. She *loves* her people deeply—so deeply, in fact, that being apart from them is a little too much for her heart to handle right now. Dottie is working on her separation anxiety and will need someone patient, understanding, and preferably home a lot to help her feel safe and secure. She came from a home with over 150 dogs so being on her own is a little scary! Dottie is not potty trained yet, but she’s trying her best and appreciates lots of encouragement (and treats, obviously)- she does great on a schedule! Dottie would do best in a home with older kids and although she can live with other dogs, she would love to be someone’s one and only. She isn’t sure she wants to share *her* person. What Dottie lacks in personal space, she makes up for in cuddles, charm, and that scrappy underdog spirit. She’s a work in progress, but if you’re ready to love a dog who needs a little extra TLC, Dottie will give you her whole heart in return. Ready to be Dottie’s forever person? She can’t wait to meet you (and follow you everywhere forever)! Dottie has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Dottie, please complete an adoption application. Just go to our website (uaaf.org/adopt). Story
Dotty Cheeks! She is currently 4 months old, 16 lbs, and we think she is a chihuahua mix but with rescue it’s always a guess! Her mom is a cute little Chi mix at only 25 lbs, but the dad is a mystery and we think Dotty will be medium sized when full grown. Watch Dotty’s video here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oDmSnYGz9ds&feature=youtu.be Dotty is playful and fun-loving, especially when she’s romping around with her siblings, but she also adores the company of people. Dotty will happily crawl into your lap for snuggles and sweet moments of affection. She’s had experience living with other dogs and would fit right in with a family that already has furry companions. But if you’re looking for a loyal new bestie, Dotty is ready to be your one and only. This sweet girl is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, and she’s ready to bring joy to her forever home! Dotty is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Dotty’s new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67ceed83c22dc438eb0be93d Please email tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Meet Harris – The Toy Loving Cuddle Bug! How can you resist his adorable big ears?? Looking for a chill little buddy to share your couch and your heart? Say hello to Harris! He’s a confident and affectionate Chihuahua mix who’s all about the simple pleasures—treats and belly rubs. Weighing in at 17 pounds, this 8 year old guy is potty trained, crate trained and great in the car. He had to have one of his eyes removed- but it doesn’t slow him down a bit! Harris LOVES toys. Adopt him and you will forever have a collection of toys on your couch. You can put them up, but by the end of the day he will have them piled back around him again. Harris is currently living with a mix of pups of all sizes (7-120 pounds). He is not super playful, but can be found snuggling up to the other dogs on occasion. He’d get along great with other mellow dogs—or he’d be totally cool soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only. Whether it’s a slow stroll around the block or sunbathing in the yard, Harris is happiest just being near you. And when it's time to chill? He’s all about curling up in your lap for some quality scratch time after he rolls around on his back for a bit! He really shines in a calm home that can match his relaxed vibe. He’s the kind of guy who’ll greet you at the door, tail wagging, just happy you're back. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who’s always down to relax, Harris is your guy. Come meet your new best friend! Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/678d7ee6c4b3dfc3a30a19c5 Any questions? Please email: jodi@threelittlepittiesrescue.org *Cannot be adopted to WA or ME* We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Nacho Cheese – Small in Size, Big on Fun! Nacho Cheese is a playful and friendly, 1 year old, 15 lb, Chihuahua mix who’s always up for a good time. He absolutely loves his toys and will keep you entertained with his silly antics and bursts of zoomies. This little guy is great with kids and loves being around people. He’d do well in a family home, with adults, or as the perfect sidekick for a singleton. He’s a pro on the leash and would be just as happy in an apartment as he would in a house. Nacho Cheese would love a home with other small dog buddies to hang with, but he’s also happy to be adopted solo if he’s got plenty of attention and playtime. He could even be adopted with his brother for double the fun!
