Story
Meet Dottie! Age: ~2 years old Breed: Terrier/Chiweenie Mix Status: 100% adorable Dottie is a sweet, scruffy little lovebug with a big personality packed into a tiny body. She’s the kind of dog that makes you laugh every day—whether she’s exploring the backyard or trying to convince you that your lap is the only place she belongs. She *loves* her people deeply—so deeply, in fact, that being apart from them is a little too much for her heart to handle right now. Dottie is working on her separation anxiety and will need someone patient, understanding, and preferably home a lot to help her feel safe and secure. She came from a home with over 150 dogs so being on her own is a little scary! Dottie is not potty trained yet, but she’s trying her best and appreciates lots of encouragement (and treats, obviously)- she does great on a schedule! Dottie would do best in a home with older kids and although she can live with other dogs, she would love to be someone’s one and only. She isn’t sure she wants to share *her* person. What Dottie lacks in personal space, she makes up for in cuddles, charm, and that scrappy underdog spirit. She’s a work in progress, but if you’re ready to love a dog who needs a little extra TLC, Dottie will give you her whole heart in return. Ready to be Dottie’s forever person? She can’t wait to meet you (and follow you everywhere forever)! Dottie has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Dottie, please complete an adoption application. Just go to our website (uaaf.org/adopt). For more information, call/text UAAF at 801-467-8610 or email svalentine46@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Ranger – Your Fun and Devoted Little Buddy! Ranger is an affectionate and sweet Chihuahua mix with a unique cattle dog-like coat and a loyal soul. He may be a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he’ll form a deep bond and be your most loyal companion. Estimated at 3 years old and 12 lbs, Ranger is a silly little guy, full of personality and fun. He loves seeking comfort from his person and won’t hesitate to jump into your arms for hugs. He will also follow you everywhere you go, enjoying life in your shadow. Ranger loves other dogs and would really thrive in a home with another playful dog, or at least with regular doggy playdates. While he hasn't lived with cats in our care, he did pass his cat test with ease. We think he could do well in a home with cats. He has also met a human baby and did well, so he might do well in a home with kids, but more testing is needed to be sure. He’d be a great match for a singleton or active older adult looking for a devoted furry friend. Due to his tendency to howl at times, we think an apartment/condo is probably out of the picture. Ranger is great on leash and loves to go for walks, and he's also a pro riding in the car. Most of all, he’s happiest when he’s by your side, ready to be your cuddle buddy. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle pup to share your days with, Ranger is ready to be yours! We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $1,000 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Treble Music! Treble is currently 6 weeks old, and we think she may be a Chihuahua/terrier mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. WatchTreble's video here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wCAy_92Bkjs&feature=youtu.be Treble is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! She is bit shy at first and once she warms up she is a gentle happy girl. She enjoys playing with her siblings and would be a great addition to a family with other dogs and/ or kids. Treble is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Treble's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6812209c7ec275c67a0831ca Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1,000.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Camo, the joyful, fun, and affectionate cutie! Camo is a little brown Chihuahua mix weighing 12 lbs and estimated to be 2 years old. This fun, curious boy loves to explore his home, taking in the world around him with the cutest head tilts. He’s gentle, affectionate, and always happy to curl up in your lap for some snuggles and belly rubs (his favorite!). Camo will charm you instantly with his big personality. He will keep you laughing with all of his silly antics. He's a playful guy who loves toys of all kinds. Since he's still young, he's still active and will need outlets for his energy, whether that's playtime with you, with doggy friends, enrichment activities, or walks. Camo would be perfect for a younger singleton or couple, who will play with him, take him on walks in the neighborhood, and give lots of snuggles. He will do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, play, and sunbathe to his heart's content. Camo does well with other small dogs and could live in a home with other dogs, or by himself, soaking up all the attention. He passed a cat test too, so we think he will do well in a home with a cat. Camo will do best in a home without kids, or with older kids, who can respect his boundaries. He would rather his home life be calm and chill. If you’re looking for a playful, fun, and lovable companion who’s just as happy exploring as he is cuddling, Camo might be the perfect match for you!
