Story
Meet Dottie! Age: ~2 years old Breed: Terrier/Chiweenie Mix Status: 100% adorable Dottie is a sweet, scruffy little lovebug with a big personality packed into a tiny body. She’s the kind of dog that makes you laugh every day—whether she’s exploring the backyard or trying to convince you that your lap is the only place she belongs. She *loves* her people deeply—so deeply, in fact, that being apart from them is a little too much for her heart to handle right now. Dottie is working on her separation anxiety and will need someone patient, understanding, and preferably home a lot to help her feel safe and secure. She came from a home with over 150 dogs so being on her own is a little scary! Dottie is not potty trained yet, but she’s trying her best and appreciates lots of encouragement (and treats, obviously)- she does great on a schedule! Dottie would do best in a home with older kids and although she can live with other dogs, she would love to be someone’s one and only. She isn’t sure she wants to share *her* person. What Dottie lacks in personal space, she makes up for in cuddles, charm, and that scrappy underdog spirit. She’s a work in progress, but if you’re ready to love a dog who needs a little extra TLC, Dottie will give you her whole heart in return. Ready to be Dottie’s forever person? She can’t wait to meet you (and follow you everywhere forever)! Dottie has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. Story
Hi everyone! My name is Snoopy and I am a Chihuahua, Miniature Australian Shepherd mix. I'm a 14 pound ball of energy! My perfect day involves hiking through a forested trail or exploring a rocky beach. I'm always up for an adventure in nature! I love jumping over logs and walking through shallow creeks. Afterwards we can relax and snuggle on the couch. I'm very affectionate and love giving kisses! Post nap, we can play fetch or tug of war with my favorite squeaker toy. We can end the day with a peanut butter kong and some belly rubs. I dislike walking on streets with heavy traffic, especially when buses and unmuffled cars drive by. The noise is stressful for me and makes me prefer the safety of home. I'm also sensitive to certain noises and will alert bark. I've been wearing a remote controlled citronella collar to help when I get overwhelmed with barking. I'm protective of my home, especially with strangers. Once they walk through the door , I will bark, growl, and nip at them. What helps is meeting new people while on a leash. It shows me they are friendly and safe. Sometimes, I can be reactive towards other people or dogs while on walks, but it's mostly because I am fearful. A good trainer and dedicated adopter can help me overcome my fears.  I'm not crate trained but have used a pen. I'm working on the pen being my safe space. I do very well at the veterinary clinic and have gotten compliments for my sweet nature. I also do well getting my nails professionally trimmed.  I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. What I need: Experienced dog owners that can work with my reactivity and can get me the necessary training No young children A home located on a quiet street away from heavy traffic A gated backyard. I absolutely love running and can run for hours! My fast, agile body would be amazing at agility courses I'm shy and nervous around other dogs, especially if they don't respect my boundaries. However, I can be comfortable with them over time. ##1867517##

Story
Lars 505-999-8036She loves to be pet and is very calm normally. She does take a while to warm up to people. She seems to have a little trust issues probably as a result of where she was rescued from. She had since opened up a lot and is friendly but will go on guard when new people come around.
