Story
Maple, a female dachshund mix, was pregnant when she was rescued. She was a good mama to her puppies, but now it's her turn to find that forever home she so deserves. Maple adores her people. She jumps with delight when her fosters return home. She always greets them with a wagging tail. She's affectionate. She'll climb in someone's lap any chance she gets & soak up as much love as she can.❤️🐾🐾 Maple girl also enjoys short walks. She loves to be outside & she'll spend hours in the sun.🐶🌞 She plays well with dogs who are smaller than her. She's great at teaching younger dogs the ropes. Understably, she's protective of her food. So she is fed separately for now. She's a loving, active, playful dog who has a lifetime of love to offer. Maple is a young adult & full grown at approx 25 lbs. She's estimated to be a chiweenie mix. Her coat is healthy & low shedding. She's completely crate trained & almost housetrained. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped.

Story
I originally got Ollie in 2020 from a local shelter in Missouri. He is now 6 years old, his birthday is 1/14/2019. Ollie is a very loving dog. His issues are that he has awful separation anxiety and needs to be with someone who can either work with him on it or will be home with him most of the time. He usually does fine around little dogs but gets very scared of bigger dogs. I have never seen him around a cat so I am unsure of how he would behave. He would be better in a home with no other pets. Ollie has a lot of toys, clothing, a food and water bowl, and a food storage container that can go with him. He is not up to date on his shots as I could not afford to get them and that is part of the reason I can’t keep him. He needs all shots and may have an ear infection. He is currently being treated for fleas. I just want him to go to a loving home who has the time, space and money to take care of him and love him the way that he truly deserves.

~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health:  Chong is diagnosed with a perineal hernia. Unfortunately, the surgical procedure to correct it has a low success rate. For now, it isn't causing him any issues, so we will continue to keep an eye on it. ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Chong is a quiet and loving senior boy who wants to be with his human all time.  He enjoys traveling, long walks and cuddling up on his humans lap.  When he is not with his foster family being carried around, he can be found napping with his brother Chong in their bed.  He and his brother are best of friends and don’t mind sharing everything! We don't guarantee house trained but Chong does great when takin out regularly. He absolutely loves his treats!   -- Where did he come from: They were found as strays. His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle in your lap & under the covers! During the day he is a perfect work-from-home buddy who will sleep at your feet in a dog bed. Petey goes potty outside like a champ and can hold his bladder all night and for many hours during the day. He will come right to you when called. He gobbles up breakfast & dinner and loves treats. Petey takes a bath well and as a short haired dog, does not require professional grooming. He is grumpy and will fuss about getting his nails trimmed, though…so watch out!! Petey will not go for walks on a leash but will be carried. He shakes when he is nervous and excited- typical of this breed! We call him our little jitterbug. He only barks at a doorbell and occasionally when out back. He is friendly to all strangers but does not do well around children under five. If you love chihuahuas and all their funny quirks, Petey is your man! He would be best as an only dog, but will tolerate another small dog if necessary.  He is not a fan of big dogs or cats, but adjusting to them in foster home. -- Where did he come from: Owner was moving and had to downsize her dogs.   Adoption: ***** $100.00 ***** Weight: 10 lbs.
