Story
Koby is a medium sizes chiweenie/terrier mix breed, weighing 25-30lbs. He’s is fully vaccinated and neutered. Koby has a happy, energetic, adventurous, and playful personality. He loves being around people, enjoys cuddles, and back scratches. He knows commands like “come”, “sit”, “lay down”, “no”, “wait”, “down”, “potty”. He does get anxious in car rides, and is not very social with other dogs. He may see them as a threat. He does get along well with a family members dog because we took the time to get them acclimated. Even though this is a challenge for him, with the right owner, I believe he could have a better experience socially. This is my hope for him! Due to recent changes in my lifestyle, I feel that it is best to find a loving home for him that can offer him patience and can help him have a more well rounded life!

It is impossible to be any sweeter than she is. Personality Who's a Diva? SASHA is a Diva! Belly rubs are NOT OPTIONAL. Leaving the room without her is NOT a thing! Snuggling is mandatory. Kissies are included with every interaction. She is about 2 years old and very well behaved. 12 lbs mini skinny something like a rat terrier or mini pindcher. She does very well with other pets, and loves & adores ALL people. Very slight built with long legs, she is fast and athletic. She waits for you to pick her up though by preference. She lives to bury under the covers with you. Background Sasha followed 2 kids home several weeks ago and no one claimed her. She has a microchip but it was not registered. Sasha showed up and was found by a family last week outside of their home in the cold. After 3 days, they finally took her in and let her stay in their bathroom to stay warm and contacted GNAR for help. The kids were so sad to see her go, but mom said they couldnt keep her. Sasha weighs about 15 lbs and is a very well mannered young lady. She loves to cuddle and uses your shoulder as a pillow while you hold her. She is crate trained, house broken, and good on a leash too. Why would someone throw her out? She obviously was loved by someone. Willie, a 2-year-old Chiweenie weighing 23 lbs, who is the perfect blend of sweet and laid-back. Willie enjoys lounging in his favorite chair, but his playful side comes out when he's wrestling and chasing Dolly, the younger resident dog. Initially shy, Willie has grown comfortable in his environment and loves being close to his people. He has a hearty appetite, gobbling up his food quickly, and has learned to sit for treats. Willie is smart and now fetches the ball with enthusiasm. He has adapted well to the household routine, experiencing only a few accidents and escape attempts early on. He loves sunbathing but prefers to be outside only if someone is nearby. Willie shows concern during thunderstorms, which might explain his past attempts to run. At night, Willie usually sleeps with his humans but sometimes retreats to his favorite chair. If you stir in the morning, he'll jump on the bed to gently nudge you. Willie is a wonderful companion who enjoys both playtime and relaxation, making him a perfect addition to any loving home. *Willie is Heartworm positive and is being treated currently. Beautiful Lily came to us starved, skin and bones and nursing 2 mangy pups!! Dumped like trash at the door of MCAS, in a small dirty crate. Lily has now recovered through fast kill heartworm treatments and an Addisons Disease crisis and says she’s finally ready for her very own family. Her puppies both found wonderful homes.We cannot thank all her supporters enough. look at this fatty?!! She has neck rolls now!! ❤️ Lily will require regular injections for her Addisons and a daily steroid, but otherwise will live a normal ornery life of a small terrier on steroids! Lily deserves the best family! Lily will need to be on prescription meds for Addisons for the rest of her life and an estimate of that would be $100 every month. If you are a local adopter, Lily is all set up with Bear Branch Animal Hospital where Dr W and staff are so very proud of how far she has come. Adopt Lily, she will make the best BFF.

Meet Bailey!Bailey was a young mama dog; all her pups were taken in by another rescue group. Bailey came into our program. Bailey is so, so sweet and loves everyone. This girl loves the good life and lives to go in the car and look out the window. Foster parents take her on their side by side, and she loves it. Bailey is adjusting to family life and is learning good house manners and how to enjoy walks on the leash. Bailey adores children and does well with women and men. Bailey gets on great with other dogs. Potty training is going well when she is on a schedule. A fully fenced safe yard is a must for this girl, no apartments please. Bailey was a throw away pup that had pups of her own, Bailey deserves so much more and needs a loving patient home. Is that you? apply to meet Bailey and fall in love.

Chuck is a super sweet boy. He loves people, snuggles and small stuffed toys. Chuck loves people and other small dogs but is content to spend time on his own if needed. He gets along well with other dogs his size and energy level. Chuck isn't a huge fan of the great outdoors. He thinks he belongs indoors, unless he has to go potty or a car ride is involved. One of Chuck's ears has some damaged cartilage that makes it a little wonky but it doesn't bother him. We think it adds to his character.Chuck is estimated to be around 5 years old, he is housebroken, fully vetted and heartworm negative. He was found wandering a neighborhood in Conroe TX. Sadly, efforts to locate his family failed.
