Story
We adopted Missy from a local rescue site 1.5 years ago. She was in rough shape and we knew it. Her age at the time was approx 7 years old, now she is 8 years old. It was obvious she had been through some tough experiences, weighing only 6.5 lbs and very skinny, Missy had hardly any hair, double ear infection, had never been spayed, needed a tooth pulled, and was suffering from ‘doggie pneumonia”. Missy is now thriving, sitting at 12.5 lbs, potty trained, and loves all people and all children. Neighborhood children love to visit Missy and she loves them right back. Once Missy had gotten healthy, she showed us right away that she did not enjoy sharing her home any other 4 legged fur babies. With us already caring for several other dogs and cats, this put a lot of strain on the existing animals. Missy loves going for rides in the car and doesn’t mind being picked up or held. She is an amazing companion and will do best as an “only animal” to an owner that is often home.
