This charming little 10-pound Chiweenie may have a magical name, but his greatest spell is how quickly he can steal your heart. At just 3 years old, Wizard Waverly is a bright, curious, and affectionate pup who’s learning what it means to be loved and cared for. Wizard came to us from a heartbreaking situation — a home with over 30 dogs living in unsafe conditions. Thanks to the efforts of multiple rescues (including ours!), Wizard and his friends finally got their chance at a better life. Despite his rough start, Wizard’s resilience shines through every day. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and making great progress learning to use the doggy door. He’s still working on his leash training, but he’s such a smart boy that he’s picking it up quickly! Wizard loves toys, especially ones he can chase or squeak, and he’ll happily entertain himself or join in a play session with his humans. Wizard can be a bit shy and skittish when meeting new people or encountering new situations — understandable given his past — but once he feels safe, his sweet, snuggly side shines. He loves attention, gentle pets, and being close to his trusted people. If you’re patient, loving, and ready to give Wizard Waverly the safe forever home he deserves, this little guy will reward you with endless love and loyalty. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. This cheerful little guy has come a long way since being rescued from a home with more than 30 dogs living in very poor conditions. Thanks to the teamwork of several rescues (including ours!), Wrigley finally has the chance to enjoy the happy, healthy life he deserves. Wrigley is housebroken, crate-trained, and learning how to use the doggy door like a champ. He’s still figuring out this whole leash-walking thing, but with his sharp mind and eagerness to please, he’s catching on quickly. One of Wrigley’s favorite things in the world is playing outside — whether he’s chasing toys, exploring the yard, or just soaking up the sunshine, this little adventurer loves fresh air and freedom. While Wrigley may be a bit timid when meeting new people, once he knows you’re a friend, his sweet personality shines through. Story
Letty is a vibrant, affectionate 2-year-old pup (birthday: 11/8/23) rescued originally by Charming Pet Rescue in San Antonio. She is incredibly loving, cuddly and also energetic. When we adopted Letty, we both worked from home and she thrived with constant companionship. Our circumstances have changed with a new baby and office jobs requiring full days away and frequent travel. Letty experiences anxiety when alone for long periods and isn't getting the attention she deserves. She would thrive in a home with another dog companion or owners who work from home/have flexible schedules. This decision is heartbreaking for us, but Letty deserves a home where she can be her happiest self. If you have room in your heart for this sweet, spirited girl, please reach out.
