Meet Tango! Tango is about 10 months old and weighs just under 9 pounds, and she kind of looks like a chiweenie to us! Tango is a sweet as they come and as you can see from her pictures, is always happy! Just look at that smile! Tango has done wonderful with all doggy and human friends alike and loves all that life has to offer. Tango is crate trained and does really well with going potty outside as ling as she is kept on a good schedule. Tango would love to join your home and run and play with you, then snuggle on your lap for all the love you can give! Interested in becoming a forever home for Tago? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Tago. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Tago the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our normal adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Story
Gilbert is a great companion and pet. He is a rescue who came from an abusive home. Because of this, he is slightly reactive. He needs time to warm up to people and doesn't like strangers touching him. Once he warms up though after a few days, he is the most friendly, loyal, and cute pet. He loves spending time outside - walks are his favorite - and enjoys chewing on bones and treats. Small kids present a threat to Gilbert, until he's fully warmed up. The sudden movement of children can cause him to be guarded and reactive. A good trainer and a patient owner can manage his triggers well. Ideally I'd love to see him in a home that will be attentive to his needs with plenty of time for walks. Gilbert is 10 years old and is about 18 pounds. His adoption will come with plenty of food, crate, extra bed, multiple leashes and harnesses, shampoo, and cleaners.

I’m a precious pup at Lex Animal Welfare, guessed to be a chihuahua/boxer mix. We are expecting her to stay in the medium size range. I’m full of energy and love playing with other dogs. I‘m not sure how to play with toys but they have been working on with her. I love treats and with the use of treats I am learning that climbing and jumping are not always acceptable behaviors. I have the habit of wrapping my front legs around your leg if Im feeling ignored or just want to be held and cuddled.
