Leyla was adopted from a local shelter. She is very friendly, playful and can be a lap dog. She is an Alfa female and does not do well with other female dogs. She does like male dogs. She is 1-1/2 years old.

We are offering walk-in browsing hours Thursday-Saturday 11am-3pm, Sunday 12-3pm, Monday-Tuesday 11am-3pm. Wednesday is by appointment only. All services require face-coverings, including those that take place outside.To inquire about an adoption appointment, or curbside adoption please visit https://clevelandapl.org/dog-adoption-survey/ to complete an adoption survey. Know that we will respond to inquiries based on the timestamp of the email receipt. An adoptions associate will contact you via phone to review your survey and begin the next steps in the process if you are eligible to adopt. You must be ready to adopt right away, as we will not be offering holds.The adoption fee for dogs is $125 and puppies is $200 + $21 county license.

Story
This is a double adoption. Taco and his brother Cinco will go together or not at all. Taco and his brother Cinco came to me in October when my mother suddenly passed away. Taco and Cinco were the light of my mother's world. She loved them so much. With nowhere else for them to go in the short term, I took them in. However, living with me is not ideal. I live alone and work 12-hour shifts, so unfortunately, they are penned up for 13 hours at a time some days. Taco is 13 years old. He loves to chase a tennis ball. He also loves to curl up and cuddle right next to you; however, he is not a Velcro dog. He is good with cats and other dogs. It is unknown how he is with children. Unfortunately, Taco is not housebroken. If you take him outside, he will do his business out there; however, he will not ask or wait to go out. If you are diligent in taking him out every couple of hours, there shouldn't be too much of an issue.
