Story
Hi, this is Chicken! She is a 14 week old rescue. She is spayed, microchipped, and has all puppy vaccines up to date except for rabies which is scheduled for January 19th. She is pee-pad trained and has been making great progress on going outside. She is extremely cuddly, smart, and playful and is great with other adults, children, and dogs. Unfortunately, my older dog has not been accepting Chicken and has been regressing in her behaviors and trainings since bringing Chicken in, with no improvements to their relationship despite Chicken wanting to play and be friends. I’d love for Chicken to go to a good home where she can be cared for with the love and attention she deserves. She is a great dog!

These pups are in Wake Forest, North Carolina too!

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** India is a sweet pup who recently came from a neglect/hoarding situation and is just beginning to learn what it means to live life as a loved pet. The progress they do make — a wagging tail, choosing to nap nearby, or trusting you enough for a little kiss — will be incredibly rewarding. With a patient, loving home and someone willing to put in the dedication, this pup will show you that every small step forward is truly worth celebrating. They do well with other dogs and would love to have another dog in their home as a companion. India is a sweet and sensitive girl who's looking for a patient family willing to give her the time she needs to blossom. This shy girl takes a while to warm up to new people and situations, but with gentle encouragement and understanding, she reveals her loving nature. After spending time in two of our wonderful foster homes, India has started approaching her foster in her own time to get some pets and cuddles. She thrives in calm, predictable environments where she can take things at her own pace, making her perfect for a family who appreciates a more independent companion. She prefers the stability of a routine schedule, devours wet food, and loves beggin bacon snacks! She seems to be fully crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps quietly through the night (in your bed, if you’ll let her!). When India feels secure, she loves nothing more than exploring every corner of the yard, investigating new scents and enjoying the outdoors at her leisure. After her adventures, you'll find her contentedly curled up in her favorite spot with fluffy blankets, savoring the peace and quiet. India gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would be happy in a multi-dog household, though she'd be equally content as an only dog where she can have all the attention to herself. She is still learning about toys from her canine foster companions, but hasn’t quite figured them out yet. She's great with children who understand that she prefers to approach on her own terms rather than being picked up or held – she's the type of dog who shows affection through gentle presence rather than constant cuddles. A quiet gal, India hasn’t really been heard to bark but will make cute little whimpers when she wants to get your attention. India needs a family who will celebrate her independent spirit while helping her build confidence in this big, beautiful world.

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Say hello to this senior sweetheart, Grapevine! She is a friendly, calm girl who prefers a bit of independence rather than being held, at least for now. Lots of TLC is due her way and in time, she will continue coming out of her shell. Grapevine must not have had the kindest lot in life prior to coming to Saving Grace, as she seems to be experiencing so many new things for the first time in her foster home. She's learning about potty training, and enjoys going outside for short periods of time. She's a smart lady who will come to you when she wants to be picked up or to soak in some couch snuggles, but she will not stay in your lap very long. Grapevine would love to find her forever home that comes with extra patience, and possibly a sibling would suit her well, too.

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Meet Caliban, a sweet young lady who is a bit shy at first, as she's slowly learning all about feeling safe and loved. She's also very friendly and cuddly and once she gets to know you a bit after a couple days, she eagerly wants to be in your company at all times. She loves to sit on your lap and would be happy to snuggle all day. She would likely prefer a home with another canine companion and/or having her human around most of the time. Caliban is slowly opening up to the good life as a dog, so going outside is still a bit scary. In the meantime, she's learning about potty training on pee pads in her foster home at the moment, before she eventually will feel comfortable venturing to the greater outdoors. If you might have some extra love and patience to offer Caliban, it would be her dream to be your couch companion for life.
