Rudolph is the sweetest guy!...and like his namesake, really does have a RED nose! He may be a little shy at first but once he warms up he just wants to be cuddled all day long. While a tiny bit more shy with new people, he loves dogs and was the first to come up and play with his big foster brother. He’s doing very well with his potty training. He has been using pee pads exclusively, but will adjust to going outside quickly. He’s learned to use his voice, but is mostly a quiet boy. He’s also a great eater! Bennie, along with 8 other pups, was rescued from being sold for meat at the side of the road in China as puppies. Meet Boogie! Boogie is an adorable long bodied chiweenie mix that weighs 10 pounds and 3 to 4 years old. Boogie can be a little shy at first but warms up fast! His favorite game is tug of war and he also takes pleasure in cuddling with his person while they watch t.v. Boogie does okay on leash but will need a bit more work to make walks fun and exciting! Boogie does great at using the doggy door or pee pad and still needs a little confidence building with the crate. Interested in becoming a forever home for Boogie Dentwood? All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Mazie and goodness what a cracker jack she is. Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy. She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance. Mazie is 30 pounds and 9 months old. She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told. Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl. Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her. We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning. She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them. She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily. Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say. She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE! Meet Parker! This precious little guy is 4 years old and about 12 lbs. Evidently Parker did not have a very good life prior to joining Critter Cavalry. We think he was bullied by another dog. He is a 'sit on the sidelines and watch' kinda guy who doesn't really want to play with anyone. He doesn't mind the other dogs and definitely is not mean. He would just rather be with people. Parker is super sweet and loves people. He just wants to be where his foster mom is. Parker would be a wonderful companion for someone that just wants one dog and who would like a dog they can take places. He would love that and would love to be friends with all your friends. He is just precious and very friendly. He gentlY smells you to make sure you are OK and then he is good. He was smiling during his photo shoot and seemed to enjoy all the attention. If you are looking for a loyal companion then you have found him in Parker. Parker is doggie door trained, neutered, current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. The owner of Arlo, Lainey and 4 other akc registered doxies was living in a rental home with 4 children and the landlord said the dogs had to go. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged but Lainey was able to keep her figure. They are both so so sweet and cute! They both Love cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained. Arlo is a red pie bald and Lainey is a black and tan wirehaired doxie. Lainey was born on 9/10/2021 so she is 3 years old, Arlo is 4.
