For those of you in the market for a little old man, meet Chico! He's a sweet boy who, despite his age, still loves a good game of chase! This little guy loves to bunny hop around the table when his people are eating, which is just the cutest. He gets along well with all of his foster fur siblings. If his home has children in the mix, they would ideally be a bit older or able to respect the fact that Chico values a good, long nap. This dude isn't super clingy, but he does enjoy attention and some relaxing pets from his people.

Story
Claire is a 3-year-old chihuahua mix who is super sweet and loving with her people. She is just delightful and is a Velcro dog, always looking for a lap and a hug. She wears sweaters and jackets and loves warm blankets on the couch. She was raised with small dogs and loves her foster fur-siblings. She came to Melissa's after her human mom passed away, and it is clear she was very loved. Claire has been open to affection from men, women, and older teens but takes some time to adapt to new faces. She has not been around small children, but we think she might do better with kids 10 and older. She will walk on a leash but loves the freedom to dash through the fenced yard. She looks to her humans for reassurance when the big neighbor dogs bark and wants to go inside, but since she has not actually interacted with larger dogs, we do not know how she might adapt. She has not been exposed to cats at all. She is smart, and has done fabulous on potty training. She will stay in her crate at night but doesn't really need to; she would much prefer to join her people in the big bed! She is spayed, has her basic vetting, and is ready for her new family. Claire might thrive best in a home with chihuahua-savvy people. If interested, apply to adopt at Melissa's Second Chances.
