Story
This sweet little man is Buddy! When his family lost their home on 11/30, he was surrendered to the shelter. They were hoping to be able to return for him, but sadly that has not happened. Buddy is now hoping for a new, forever home where he can live out his golden years. He'd love a comfy bed, yummy treats, and lots of love! Buddy seems to be house-trained because he keeps his kennel tidy, and cries when he needs to go out and potty. He does have a large mass on his side that will need to be evaluated by a veterinarian. The volunteers just adore Buddy and describe him as a real love bug! He also sits nicely for treats when asked. If you're looking for a chill BFF who is happy to take short walks and spend his days by your side, Buddy is your guy! Buddy is approximately 12 years old, and he weighs 18 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he will be microchipped and heartworm tested upon adoption. Due to his age, he will need to be evaluated by the shelter veterinarian and they will determine whether or not to neuter him. Buddy is waiting patiently in kennel 204; his ID # is 6580. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
My name is Roscoe! I am 1 of 14 pups that were recently dumped on a rural dirt road with temperatures in the twenties. We were so scared, but thankfully all safely recovered after a week of rescue efforts! Given my recent and traumatic history, I am very shy and timid at first. I need a little bit of time to warm up, realize you are good people and feel safe. Once I do though, I am a lap baby! – 4 months old – 6 pounds – Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped -- Did well with kids met aged 5+ – **Not** compatible with large dogs – Cat compatibility unknown – Dumped with over a dozen other small sized dogs whom I am friends with, but slow and proper intros would be needed to integrate into a new small dog pack Jackson, GA Apply to Adopt: joyspromise.org/adopt – Note: If you are interested in adopting, please COMPLETE AN APPLICATION THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. Inquiries on adoption sites is not an application. Your inquiry will not be seen until you complete an actual application at joyspromise.org/adopt

Story
Luci is a loving 5 year old Chihuahua/Pomeranian/Terrier mix male dog. He enjoys being held, being cuddled, and loves attention. He loves going outside and sunbathing. He is also very playful and enjoys playing with his owners and toys. He does do well with other female dogs and children, but can get food aggression towards them if he is being bothered. He is afraid of thunderstorms and can get separation anxiety. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about littermate syndrome, and his brother and him are getting more aggressive towards each other and that is the reason he is being rehomed. Luci would make a great companion to anyone who is willing to give him the love and attention he deserves.
