My name is Dolly! I am 1 of 14 pups that were recently dumped on a rural dirt road with temperatures in the twenties. —Believed to be Dachshund / Chihuahua mix —5-6 months old —Currently weighs 6 lbs —Estimated to be around 10 lbs full grown —Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped —Big cuddler —In foster with both dogs and cats Here is a recap of her time in foster so far: I would say she would still be apprehensive of new dogs, but if they are accepting of her, she would be fine. She responds appropriately when my dogs grumble at her, but we avoid feeding and treat sharing situations because she is super food motivated. She will sometimes snap at my big dogs, but they totally ignore her. Sometimes I think she is playing, other times she is resource-guarding (in my lap). Regardless, she doesn't press the issue. She loves to play outside and run with the big dogs when they play ball. She is stand-offish and will bark and growl with new people, but settles quickly. Dolly will try to chase the cats, but opts to find a toy when they stand their ground and hiss at her. I do think this is play--they are just her size. She is crated at night--she screams at first, but settles down. She does scream as soon as she hears someone up in the am and won't take no for an answer. She has not had accidents overnight for about 2 weeks. She does great pottying outside, but does not ask to go out and will slip away somewhere unseen to do her business in the house if you are not paying attention. She is a cuddler--if there is no human available, then any dog will do. She has not been exposed to children, but I think she might be apprehensive. Older kids could probably be ok. If you like traveling she would make a really good buddy! • She loves playing with other dogs, running in the park, cuddles, kisses, sleeping with you, walks, hikes, and delicious food (fruit, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, cheese, meat) and treats! • Personality: She is affectionate, full of energy, loves to have fun, and adapts well to new things. She likes both people and dogs and cats (she'll play with them). She also loves to play in the park or the mountains. When she's excited, she'll purr to show her excitement. She loves to be held - she wants to fall asleep with you in your arms. She's the best dog ever!
