Story
Hi! My name is Parker. I am a really sweet little guy and I am just looking for my furever home! I am 10 weeks old (born around 7-25-24), weigh about 3 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $650, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Thanks for checking me out!

Story
We rescued 17 dachshund and chiweenies in August. They had not been socialized, their owner died in the house. We are slowly working with these babies and the ones we feel are ready, we get fixed and find them homes. These babies will need a patient family who will work with getting them comfortable in a new house. They may be flight risks so will need to be monitored all the time. Some have been adopted already and have done well. They are not used to being petted, picked up or touched. They are not used to kids so slow introductions will be needed but we don’t see them not liking kids. They are such brave little ones that we are determined they will all eventually get new homes. Ranger is the tallest of the group, not sure what gene is in there! He likes to walk his ‘perimeter’ and bark at anyone who comes near. He likes to play although they aren’t sure how to. He has the little dog energy and would be great with any family. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you though Rescue Riders.

Story
Rufus is a sweet, quirky, cuddly dog — but he needs to be an “only-dog.” He lived with my mom and sister, who both unfortunately died recently. Rufus will be 10 years old in March 2025, but he is quite energetic and weighs 14 pounds. He has a highly treatable heart condition. He is crate-trained but is not 100% housebroken, so frequent walks with a couple of pee pads placed around the house are advisable. He is loving and comical. He can shake on command. He loves taking walks and getting treats. He’s a climber, so all food must be placed well out of his reach. It breaks my heart to part with him, but I know that he will make a happy forever home with another family as an only-dog. 🥹

Story
I adopted Ginger when she was around 6 months old and have had her for almost 8 years. She was born to be an only child. My one-year old loves her, but she does not return the love. She loves to snuggle under the blanket on the couch, chase her tail, and play with small tennis balls. She loves cheese, lick-mats, and bully sticks. She does very well in doggy daycare but is not okay with dogs in her space and is touch-and-go on walks when dogs walk past. In her new home I would love to see her in a child-free home without any other dogs. We both work outside the home and she is able to stay home and sleep from 8am - 5pm so working from home is not a requirement. She's a sweet girl who needs love and attention. I want to make sure we find the right fit for her because she deserves the best life and her anxiety around my son right now is stressing us all (her included) out.
