Story
Archie was rescued back in 2019 at (around) one year old. Very timid but VERY sweet and affectionate. Would probably do best as an only dog just because he is so submissive. Can be energetic, loves to run and play with his toys but also is very happy cuddled up on a lap, napping. I now have a 10 month old baby at home and since having her, my other dog, (6 y.o female Chihuahua) has become very territorial over the baby. I'm afraid of someone inadvertently getting in the middle of a tussle. On that note, Archie is EXTREMELY gentle and loving of the baby. Loves to be around her and loves to watch her play. Has lived on a small farm with me, great with small animals. Very curious but gentle with chicks, chickens and quail. Used to lay with the chicks and was protective of them and would watch and hang around the chickens. Archie has been a very good pet to me and very much deserves a loving home. He's afraid of the Chihuahua and isn't able to get the attention he deserves right now.

Ever want to bring that adorable Opossum outside, inside to be your friend to the end? Look no further than our buddy Possum! He is a 9 year old Chiweenie (that's Dachshund Chihuahua mix). This little guy is the epitome of the word agreeable. He is content in every and every possible situation. People - he adores attention and affection, so happy to be held and cuddled, but LOVES to go on adventures and walks (NOT on cold days though please!). Dogs - he is calm and friendly with other small pups; larger dogs are intimidating for him, but we don't blame his tiny size!. Cats - no problem! He's very respectful of their boundaries. Kids - of course! Tested and approved, as long as they are small dog savvy. This little guy has a genetic hair loss condition that is stable and not an issue - he just is mostly hairless and all he will need is a wardrobe to keep him warm and some pup friendly sunscreen in the summer - low maintenance guy! Nina and her sister Pinta were rescued from the dog pound. We believe these adorable girls are chihuahua/dachshund/pug mixes (the curly tails coming from the pug). Both girls have very soft fur. Nina has a bit of blue in one eye so there is something else in the mix. They are young, probably between one and two years of age. At 19 pounds, Nina is the larger of the two girls. Nina is very affectionate, sweet, and playful. She is shy and relies on her more confident sister. But they are not bonded. Pinta has heartworms and cannot be transported until they are gone. So Nina will need a home with another small sweet dog to be her friend and give her confidence. Nina is crate-trained but needs some more work with house and obedience training. Her new family should give her plenty of attention and playtime, take her on walks, and give her a lot of cuddles and affection. Nina must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and needs a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Nina is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Nina is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Glastonbury, Danbury, Lisbon CT, or another scheduled stop closest to you.
