Meet Adorable Dasher, a charming Red Chiweenie mix who is ready to find his forever home! At just nine months old and weighing in at 13 pounds, this little guy has a delightful dachshund face paired with long legs that make him unique. Dasher’s journey started in an orchard, where a kind-hearted person rescued him. When he arrived, he was very thin and struggling, having survived on olives. Thankfully, with a little TLC, he is now thriving! He enjoys his meals from a slow-feed puzzle bowl, which keeps him entertained and eating slow which helps him gain strength. Handsome Dasher has quickly settled into life at the sanctuary, where he enjoys the comforts of a warm bed and plenty of love. He’s friendly with other dogs and loves to play, making him a great companion for any pet lover. He has learned to navigate the doggie door but will need some help with house training. Additionally, he could use some more leash training to help him stroll confidently on walks. Dasher is scheduled to be neutered and is currently vaccinated and microchipped, making him ready for adoption. Freddy weighs 11 pounds and is 4 years old. He is a happy, energetic little dog. Freddy can sometimes be a little nervous when he meets new people, but he warms up quickly once he knows them. He can sometimes be protective of his food and that is why we are recommending no children. His new family will need to be patient with him, but he will be worth it!
