Story
Meet Wardy! ? This stunning boy has a story of resilience and hope. Wardy came to us from a local shelter, where he was heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list for being "fearful." However, Wardy has proven that labels can be deceiving—he’s far from fearful! In fact, he’s a social butterfly who adores meeting new people and quickly charms everyone with his sweet personality. Wardy is an outdoor enthusiast and absolutely loves going for walks, where he eagerly explores his surroundings. He’s also a perfect travel companion, riding calmly and happily in the car. When it comes to canine friendships, Wardy is a superstar! He’s incredibly dog-friendly and would make a wonderful second dog, whether your current pup is big or small. With his striking red brindle coat and unique long, low, and stocky build, Wardy is truly one of a kind. At just 14 pounds, he’s a compact little package of love and energy. At approximately 3 years old, Wardy is the perfect age—past the puppy phase but full of youthful enthusiasm. Wardy would thrive in an active home that can keep up with his zest for life. Despite his tough start, he’s embracing his second chance with enthusiasm. He’s currently working on house training and making great progress, thanks to his eagerness to please and food-motivated nature. We don’t know why Wardy ended up in the shelter, but what matters most is that he’s left that chapter behind. He’s ready to start a new life with a family who will love and commit to him forever. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly, and energetic companion, Wardy is your guy! ? To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Story
Meet Tia! This 4-year-old, 30-pound girl is as unique as she is charming, with a beautiful merle coat and a personality that will warm your heart. Tia is a sunshine-lover who delights in quiet, peaceful walks around the neighborhood and is happiest when she has a cozy spot to relax by your side. Tia’s initial shyness means she takes a little time to trust new people, but once she does, her love and loyalty know no bounds. Although a bit unsure on the leash at first, Tia is making steady progress with each walk, thanks to her dedicated foster family. She’s fully house-trained, and has a funny, endearing personality that will keep you smiling. In a prior home, she even lived with a dog-savvy cat. Tia would thrive with a patient, understanding adopter who can give her time to settle in and gain confidence. Ideally, she'd love a home with a confident and mellow, male dog friend who can show her the ropes. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who enjoys quiet days at home and just needs a little extra time to open up, Tia might be your perfect match! Story
Mochi is a sweet, 27lb and moderate energy “chiweeniebull” looking for his furever family. He was adopted from a local rescue as a family surrender (where he was originally a member of a 4 dog and 4 human household). He has been living in a single person (no other dogs) household and his adjustment has been a challenge without a pack family and mild SA, so he would thrive in a bigger family with other furry friends (esp an older sibling). He is socialized with dogs smaller and bigger than him and does well with dog intros at the park, doggy day care and with neighbors’ dogs. Day to day, Mochi loves hanging on the couch, figuring out an enrichment or food puzzle, playing with a squeaky toy or being near his human for pets and cuddles. Mochi knows basic commands, goes for morning and evening walks (30-40 mins each) and is a solid loose leash walker, highly food motivated and housetrained (he sleeps in his crate at night). Will also include: crate, harness, wet/dry food & fave toys!

These pups are in Napa, California too!

Scotty and Sully:These bonded brothers from another mother are a delight! Friendly, well-behaved and very loving, Scotty and Sully are looking for their forever home. They are great on the leash, and LOVE their walks, sleep through the night on their blankets and are house trained. Very affectionate, Scotty and Sully follow their person around the house and are also great when left alone. Barking only in response to a knock on the door, or curiosity (mostly Sully!) they love each other and humans, quickly making new friends. They cuddle up on the couch after breakfast each morning, and love car rides to see the wide world around them. They are terrific passengers! They have great appetites, love treats (especially turkey and chicken), and are perfect gentlemen.Sully dotes on his older brother, kissing and snuggling up with affection. He loves to chase flies, and only occasionally barks at squirrels, birds and other dogs he comes across in the backyard or on walks. Jumping for joy for walks, Sully is happy on the leash and a very good walker. A lover like his brother, Sully is happy taking in the sun or curling up next to you for a morning snooze or afternoon nap. He loves mealtime (snack time, too!) and very patiently waits until the doggie dinner bell rings!

THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING.   All info is provided by dogs caretaker we do not know this dog please verify all information prior to committing on this dog. PS...  I know the caretaker well and do believe what she says is true. I am seeking assistance for a medical/health evaluation and finding a forever home for a bi-color (black and tan) Chihuahua mix that was left with the front desk of a residential hotel located in Pleasanton. Details as far as I know: Owner has diabetes and will have a leg amputation surgery in Hawaii where owners' family is located. The owner left the bay area on Friday 7/12/2024 to move to Hawaii to be taken care of by family.  Per hotel staff, the owner was planning to leave the dog with a person and that did not work out. Thus, the owner surrendered the dog to the hotel housekeeper and front desk attendant before he got on a plane.  Dog was reported to be 8yrs old (Despite looking older, maybe 11 years). Appears to be in good spirits and no pain. Looks like double cataracts and one 1/4' cyst or lipoma located on right side approximately 1' laterally on her spine midway on her back. Needs dental work.  Dog friendly/indifferent on walks (not sure if vision plays a role). Only barks when needs to be let out for potty. And very easily walked on a loose leash. Enjoys car rides and sleeps through the night for 10 hours. Takes multiple naps per day. Does not consistently respond to name Kope (pronounced Ko-Pay meaning Hawaiian for Coffee).  Responds to whistle sound. Potty trained. No fleas. Poops daily. Eats two times per day. No food aggression observed. Approximate weight is 10-11lbs. Contact LBredfire@sbcglobal.net If you are interested in this dog WTF does require an approved application before sharing any of the caretakers info.  There is no fee for this dog who will require a vet visit.   This dog comes spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and more with an adoption fee/donation to Whiskers, Tails and Ferals in Napa, CA.
