Story
Meet Tildy, a charmingly stubborn senior citizen looking for somewhere special to live out her golden years. Tildy`s goal in life is to be warm and comfortable at all times. As a hairless breed, she needs extra care to keep her warm and keep her skin healthy and potential adopters should familiarize themselves with caring for a Chinese Crested before meeting her. Food is Tildy`s favorite thing in the entire world. She came to the rescue overweight and isn`t too pleased about being on a diet, but is down to a much healthier 15 lbs. Tildy does just fine in her crate when foster mom leaves and is happy to just chill in a soft bed all day while foster mom is home. Although she was likely potty trained at one point, she`s reached an age where she no longer cares and is looking for a family that`s ok with putting out a potty pad for her to use between trips outside. If you`re looking for a sweet little companion that will snuggle up and give you the best `please give me your food` eyes in the world, Tildy might be your gal.You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about Tildy on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet her today!!Adoption fee: $250All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
Meet Karley! I'm a quiet little, 7lb adult chihuhua mix who loves to cuddle! I am dog friendly with other mellow pups (have not been cat tested) but prefer a mellow home that is free of young children and lots of activity. My most favorite thing to do is nap and then work on my chew toy when I wake up. Short walks are ok but sometimes the outside world can be a little scary. However, I do enjoy having a fenced in yard and love hanging out in the sunshine. I have been doing really well going potty outside when on a consistent schedule. Sometimes though I need a little help getting outside or some patience using potty pads inside if the outside is intimidating at the moment. My confident foster siblings help me feel safe and I take cues from them so other friendly small dogs are important for me. I'm a little gal looking for the perfect home where I can feel safe and blossom. Since I’m so tiny and sweet, I can find new things and loud noises a bit scary but I just need time to feel comfortable and more confident. I definitely prefer females and need a lot of time to warm up to men, so would need any men in the home to be extra patient with me. Once I’m familiar with the people and pets around me my real personality comes out. I need a family that will be patient and understanding and let me do this on my time and when I’m ready. I am a stubborn little girl and do not like to be pushed. Once I’m comfortable I can show you just how playful and sweet I can be. My foster mom says I am the easiest dog in the world to love. I know my ideal home is out there and looking for me too. Is that home yours?? *Karley is being fostered in Milwaukee, WI. Story
Meet Archie! Age: senior Weight: 10 pounds Good with: kids (I live with two small humans and get along just fine with them), dogs (I prefer smaller dogs, but only bark at bigger dogs so they know who the boss is), I haven't met any cats just yet. House trained: yes, but sometimes I mark, so I wear a belly band so I don't have any accidents, and I really don't mind it one bit. It's easy peasy! Crate trained: yes Hey folks, Archie here! I’m a peppy little frenchie-chi mix. Look at these ears! Adorable!! I’m a friendly little fella and always ready to meet new human friends. Feel free to pick me up! I’ll lick you in the face and snuggle on your lap. I enjoy sleeping on the couch (the top cushion please! I am the boss after all), going for walks and sniffing around the yard. One of my favorite things is chasing toys and ripping all the stuffing out of them! Grr, I’m tough! At night and when the humans are gone for a long time, I snooze in my crate and it's my cozy place. Now that it's getting a bit colder, you can find me under the blanket. I hardly bark, so would probably do fine in an apartment. I’m all ready to go to my new forever home now, so come meet sweet little me! I promise if you make me a part of your family I'll show you all of my love! *Archie is being fostered in Madison, WI. Story
Meet Chloe! Age: Golden Oldie Weight: 11lbs Breed: Chi/Terrier mix Good with: dogs of all sizes, cats and older kids House trained: Yes but needs frequent potty breaks Crate trained: Yes Special needs: Would prefer someone home often to let her out to potty, home with no or limited stairs (or willing to carry her up/down) Chloe is an independent, confident and bright golden oldie that enjoys daily walks around the neighborhood to show off her leash skills and meet new friends. Her absolute favorite time of the day is meal time/snack time and since she can’t tell time, she is always ready to chow down. Once her tummy is full she loves to be near her people on a cozy dog bed. While she’s cute and happy to be near her people, she is not a big cuddler, but perhaps she is waiting for the right family before she tries. While this curious and quiet girl has been a pleasure to host, her foster family reports that she is not a fan of her face being touched, so it’s recommended that she not live with small children. She’s still happy to be picked up and carried around, she’s great in the car and is happy to join you on adventures. Chloe has a luxating patella and some arthritis, which is typical for a dog this age, but neither seem to bother her on walks. She can do a limited number of stairs, but should be in a home with few/no stairs or a family willing to carry her. Chloe is as sweet and quiet as she is cute. This tiny lady is so deserving of a home of her own, could you be the family she is looking for?
