Meet China, she is a 9 yr old 10# chihuahua. China came to SPR from a chihuahua hoarding situation. Multiple dogs ran free in a basement, which means she just had litter after litter. China's leg got hurt when she was 3years old. Her owner did nothing. SPR has stepped in to help China. The vet had to amputate her leg. Yes that means she is a little tripod. She is doing great and gets around like nothing is wrong. She is crate trained, leash trained, and potty training. China lives with 5 kids, 2 cats, and other dogs of all ages and sizes. China loves everyone she meets. If you have a warm lap just for her please go to SandiPaws.orgFast forward to today China was adopted out when she was about three years old. She recently has come back to us because her adopter has fallen very ill. Once again little China’s life has been turned upside down. She is adapting quite well to her foster home (which is the foster home she was originally with when she first came to SPR). China is looking for her forever family, where she can just stroll down the road on a nice casual walk , a nice cozy lap to sit in, a bed to sleep in with her perfect family member. China is completely up-to-date on all of her shots. She is a very healthy little girl.
