Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Precious senior found as a stray in sad shape. So heartbreaking that this is his life in his golden years. He is in good hands now and was welcomed with a good bath, a warm blow dry and has a nice, clean hoodie and place to rest his head. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

These pups are in Dallas, Texas too!

Story
Olivia is a special and sweet girl. She adores her human, has a mind of her own, and does not hesitate to let you know when she thinks she is not getting the attention she expects :) Her favorite thing seems to be to curl up under the blanket with her human and take long naps. She lives with 5 other dogs and is getting along great with them. She isn't scared to tell her big 50lb sister who is boss! She is very curious and wants to know what is going on at all times. She wants to be where you are to make sure she can keep an eye on you. Olivia has a few special needs, and is looking for a special family that will given her the extra care she requires. She can't use her back legs due to what might be a spinal injury. She does have sensation in both back legs though, so we started with some mobility exercises for a few months. We have also fitted her with a set of fancy pink wheels and she took to them immediately. They give her freedom, and she has quickly mastered how to navigate corners. She gets to wear them in the house several hours a day, until she decides she needs her precious naps. Now she zips around the house and the yard like a pro! She hasn't been doing exercises for some time now, however she has gained a bit more strength in her back legs and is able to stand up and take a few wobbly steps at a time. She also went for a short walk outside where she met several neighborhood kids and pups. More walks to come once the weather improves. Olivia is also a little incontinent, and that has been very easy to manage with washable diapers and a little help. Olivia has an amazingly inspiring zest for life and doesn't let this slow her down one bit. She is looking for her special family that will be willing to give her the little extra care she needs with loads of love that she absolutely demands :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 12:17 am

Story
Meet Rose IV! She is a 5-year-old, 8-pound chihuahua. She loves to cuddle and run. If she does play with her toys itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s usually tug of war. She is the sweetest little pup, and instantly caves when you let her. Treats and cuddles are a way to her heart, especially belly rubs. She had a tooth extraction last year, so she ideally eats wet food, and is up to date on her vaccinations. She has been spayed and microchipped. I was entrusted with her and her brother, Bear, from my cousin who travels a lot for work during the pandemic. So she is a Louisiana girl at heart. Rose loves attention but doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t need extreme physical activity, bundled in your lap or arms will do the trick for her. She does have a little anxiety, so running or walking helps her out. And boy can she run. She is pretty good with other dogs and has never been around cats. Despite her never being around cats, her personality resembles one sometimes. Her current home is with her brother Bear, who she loves to play with, so sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s great with other dogs. She has been both leash and crate-trained. She knows the sit, stay, place, and high five (although her high five is more like a down low), she knows jump, and my personal favorite 'sit proper.' Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a great dog but I simply canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t travel with her and my current living conditions are not doing her the justice she deserves, so Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m looking for a home that does. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Rose IV, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Bear X! He is a 5-year-old, 10-pound chihuahua. He loves to play and has so much energy. He can play fetch all day. His favorite toy is his carrot squeaker, although any toy that squeaks he loves. He is a burst of energy. He loves food and simply sitting on or next to you. While he loves cuddles, he will tell you when heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s done. He had a cherry eye on his right eye, we got that repaired and he is just as handsome as ever. He is up to date on his vaccinations, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been microchipped and is neutered. I got him when he was almost two from my cousin, who was no longer able to care for him and his sister. Bear is full of energy, properly like a little kid. He loves to play and have your attention. While he loves going on walks, he loves to meet other dogs. He has never been around children or cats. He loves to eat, so I would recommend that if he is housed with another animal to make sure he doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t eat their food too! Again he loves to be petted and patted, but heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll let you know when he doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t want any more affection, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll just go grab his toys. He has been crate trained, and while he responds to leash training, itâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not a firm thing. He will sit and go down and stay and place. His best trait is his smile, so you can either tell him to cheese or smile. He is the best boy but I simply cannot keep him. My schedule and living situation is not ideal for him and his sister. And they deserve the world. Maybe you can give that to him! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Bear X, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
