Hi there, my name is Camille and I’m a three year old Chihuahua mix. I am potty trained and kennel trained. I am very cuddly. I love to sit next to my foster mom in her chair. When she is not in the chair, I will keep it warmed up for her. I have to say that I am so nervous when there is a thunderstorm. I wear a thunder jacket to help me calm down. I do find places to hide like behind the toilet or in the closet. It does take me a little while to warm up to you but if you sit down, I will join you. When I go outside, I run around some but I come right over to you to get the leash hooked up. I am hoping that perfect, calm person is looking for me right now. Are you the one?    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi my name is Charly. I’m your typical chihuahua… UNTIL I’ve decided you’re worth my affection. Then it’s a light switch moment and You are my everything! I will do what it takes to be yours as well! I'm around 2-3 years old. I love treats very much! I love pets and tummy rubs! I love sleeping next to you and pitterpattering all around the house with you. I know to go potty outside but don't know how to quite let you know so keeping me on a schedule is important. I suppose we should go back to the typical Chihuahua stuff… I don’t know you I will growl and strike. I’ll give you lots of warnings before the strike so it won’t be a surprise. At first, I am incredibly nasty… like so nasty that you’re going to doubt you made the right decision. However, with patience and treats, I come around in just a couple days time. I decided my foster mommy was my best friend after three days. I broke out of my puppy pen and was right outside her bedroom door. Boy was that the shock of a lifetime!! However, once I decided, I loved her it didn’t mean I loved everybody in the house. They each had to earn it. Because of that, it would likely be better that I am not in a household with a bunch of rotating people or young children that wouldn’t understand. My foster mom and I are still figuring all the things out. She’s trying not to push me too far and is just so excited that she’s my best friend. So this bio is going to be ever changing as we navigate each other. I definitely have an outer wall, but once you breach those walls you’ll find that I am incredible! Story
Meet Candice, who we call Cassy. She is looking for her forever home and would do awesome with an older couple that is looking for a lap dog but still has some energy to play.  She came to us scared and had few social skills with people and dogs. She was pregnant and due in 2 to 3 weeks. After having her puppies, she began to mellow and became a lap dog. She continued to become calm and socialized with my dogs. She learned to play with toys and tug of war with my dogs. She chases the squirrels but never fast enough to get them. She loves running in the back yard and chasing each other. She has learned to walk on a leash but will sit down and hold her ground when she is unsure of what she is expected to do. Kind words and soft tugs on the leash bring her out of it and the walk continues. She is unsure about the fall weather since she came from Mexico and she loves the heat. She will bathe in the sun relaxing listening to the birds.  She learned to potty on doggie pads and is doing great going outside. I still have to take her out in the mornings when it is a little cold but during the day just remembering to let her out she will go potty outside. She uses the pads at night but is working on getting her to hold it till morning and going outside. She is terrified of closed areas with little space. She loves to lay next to you or in your lap. She takes a couple of days to warm up to you and to trust you but once she has she is a loving kind dog.  Her health is excellent and she has all her shots and spayed. She had the heartworm shot and does not need heartworm pills till August of 2025. She is a sweet girl that loves to play with her toys and other dogs. I don’t have a cat so I have no idea how she will react to them. She has to establish her boundaries with other dogs and does awesome with little dogs and medium size. I am unsure about the bigger dogs. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
