Story
Lainey is a sweet, 9 pound Chihuahua mix estimated to be born around 2/2024. She is an agile climber and loves to run. She wants you to know she is the fastest zoomier in town, hands down. She came from a hoarding situation and she and her sisters were very unsocialized, but not aggressive, when they came into rescue. Lainey warmed up quickly to her foster mom and seeks out attention, a lap cuddle and pets. She is still shy when first meeting strangers, but treats go a long way. She is a typical barky chihuahua. She barks when she’s protecting her loved ones from “bad guys”, nervous or excited, so her family has to be okay with that. She enjoys playing with the small breed puppies in her foster home, but can be guardy with food and toys. Shes doing great with potty training with regular reminders. She barks at cats, so it’s better for her to be in a cat-free home. She would do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog. Lainey would prefer a family that is home the majority of the day. She needs a secure, zoomie worthy yard. She would do best with children over 10, who are respectful and understand how to be gentle and patient with a shy dog. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ronan! Born on 10/17, Ronan is a bottle-fed sweetheart who thrives on human attention. With his stunning seal-colored coat and a personality that's the perfect mix of sass and snuggles, he’s sure to steal your heart. Ronan’s mom weighed 45 pounds, but we suspect his dad was a smaller breed, so we anticipate he’ll stay on the smaller side—but no promises! He’s been raised alongside a pack of dogs and would love a home with another energetic pup to roughhouse with. Ronan is smart, playful, and full of charm. After a good round of zoomies, he’ll crawl onto your chest, ready to be your personal cuddle buddy. If you’re looking for a lifelong companion to keep you laughing and love you endlessly, Ronan is your guy!   You can apply online at:AdoptPet - Recycled Pets NorCalVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 21, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
Mojo is a devastatingly handsome (obviously) 4 month old, 7 pound chihuahua mix. He was born on the streets of Stockton to a loving, but homeless, family. He suddenly started having some strange health issues and a kind Good Samaritan reached out for rescue help for him. One of our rescue volunteers noticed the post and that it had been up for at least a week with no offers to help. So the Good Samaritan brought him to our rescue. Mojo was diagnosed with an immune disorder called “Puppy Strangles” and he was a very sick little guy. Now, after a month and a half of treatment he is a happy, healthy little guy. He is smart and snuggly. He gets along with other dogs and is curious about the cats in his foster home. He’s not a big barker and has medium energy. He gets annoyed if dogs play too rough with him. He likes people but is a little shy at first and definitely knows the difference between his foster momma and a stranger. Mojo needs to be in a home with respectful children over the age of 4. He is still working on potty training (which is age appropriate) and has been sleeping in a crate at night with his sister. Mojo needs a home with a family who wants to include him in their day to day activities. Preferably a family that might be home the majority of the day and/or who has a friendly dog buddy he could hang out with.
