Hi, I’m Zeke! I’m an adorable 12 week old puppy, and I have been fixed, dewormed, microchipped and am current on my age appropriate vaccinations! The rescue is not sure of my exact mix of breeds as they were only told my mom was a chihuahua, but I am teeny tiny weighing only 3 pounds… they believe I could just be chihuahua, or possibly mixed with a small terrier since I do have some wirey hair. I am an absolute lover and a total people-pleaser. I will run right over to you when you call me and cover you in puppy kisses. I get so excited to play and can chase around toys for what seems like hours. I am such a happy boy- my tail is always wagging! You’re sure to fall in love with my playful personality! I am crate trained (with a buddy) and sleep through the night, and am doing well with potty training too. When I first wake up in the morning, I follow my foster parents straight to the back door so I can go potty. If I’m let out every couple of hours, I don’t have any accidents! I am used to always being with another puppy and having a buddy around. My foster parents require I be adopted into a home with a friendly pup already in it for companionship… or if I am adopted with my buddy Baron, they will give a significant discount on our adoption fees. They’d love for us to stay together since we are best buddies and spend every waking moment together. You should see us in action! If you’d be interested in meeting me, please send an email to the rescue. *Priority will be given to those looking to adopt Zeke with his buddy Baron. *If being adopted solo, a FRIENDLY pup must already be in the home for companionship. *Prefer adopters to be within 30 minutes of Goodyear, since we do require a home check. *After application is submitted, we will message you to chat further if we are looking to move forward with your application. We receive tons of emails, applications and inquiries so please be patient on responses.

Story
Meet Semper Fi! This sweet girl comes from a family with a strong military background. Her name, Semper Fi, is the Marine Corps motto, meaning “Always Faithful” 🫶 Semper is my grandmother’s beloved little dog, who sadly passed away in April 2024 💔 I was really worried about her after my grandma passed, as she became deeply depressed and wouldn’t make eye contact. She was incredibly attached to my grandma. In fact, they were so inseparable that it was almost unhealthy at times 😂 However, a few months later, she is thriving! Semper came into our lives in 2016. My grandma and I found her, and soon after, we discovered she was pregnant. She gave birth to two beautiful puppies who quickly found their forever homes. I considered adopting Semper out as well, but at the time, my grandma had just lost her other little dog and really needed her for emotional support. So, Semper stayed with us. Semper LOVES soaking up the sunshine, exploring the backyard, eating her meals, and snuggling in a soft blanket or dog bed. She’s well-behaved, knows how to use the dog door, and is generally friendly with other dogs—though she can get a little sassy with the energetic pups. She’s looking for a patient home that will understand the need to go slow and allow her the time to adjust and thrive. Her new family will need a secure yard.She will become very protective of her space and the people she loves and can be an ankle biter when strangers come around, so she’ll need to be kept in a kennel or a separate room when guests arrive—stereotypical chihuahua behavior! She’s spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. If you’re interested in giving her a loving home, let us know!
