Meet Curious Puppy Coco. This beautiful brindle boy is only 17 weeks old and 7 lbs. Just look at that face. It definitely tells you that this curious little guy will be in the middle of everything. This little boy is all legs. You just want to smile when you look at him. He is at that awkward stage in life with legs and feet going every where. Coco is a very sweet boy. He is super friendly and does not meet a stranger. He happily goes up to everyone to be petted. Coco loves other dogs and has a big time playing with his foster brothers. He is a bit of a pest to the older dogs though as he always wants to play. Coco would love to have another young brother or sister to play with. He definitely needs a companion to keep him busy. When Coco does settle down he is a great little cuddle boy and will curl up in your lap or beside you to go to sleep. This little guy is doggie door and crate trained. He walks OK on a leash but does need some additional training. He is very smart though and catches on quickly. He will be an excellent addition to the right family. Anna is a 9 year old, 10lb adorable Chug (chihuahua/pug mix) who has endured some big human turmoil recently and ended up in a Middle Tennessee shelter. Not much is known of her history, but her underweight condition indicates at least some neglect took place. A really devoted foster mom for critter.Cavalry turquoise noticed her profile in the shelter and realize that being a senior she might not be chosen very easily by the general public. This young foster woman is making sure that Anna is gaining much needed weight slowly. She’s starting to put on weight and enjoys her meal times-with the occasional treat of whipped cream. While she is timid at first and a little wary of quick movements, it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and become your best snuggle buddy. Anna has some spunk and can run up stairs as fast as any puppy. She seems to be good with other dogs and initiates playing, though she doesn’t know what to do with toys. She does well on a leash and going outside. She is catching on to potty training (another example of her neglected past) and we are wanting someone who works from home or is retired as she does exhibit some separation anxiety in her first week with us. She has found the cozy comforts of warm blankets and fluffy pillows and burrows underneath. Anna has lots of love to give and deserves a family to spoil her. Prince was rescued from the streets of Ft. Worth, TX and transported to Nashville, TN about 5 years ago. This handsome boy is 6 years old now and is a darling white Chihuahua weighing 14.5 pounds. He is very sweet and loves to cuddle and loves to burrow under a blanket at the end of the bed and sleep. He enjoys being petted, but doesn't like being picked up suddenly. He loves to go for walks on a leash and like most Chihuahuas he loves car rides and going for adventures. This boy, certain has certainly has his list of blue quirky, things that need to be respected and observed and left alone with. He guards his toys and food so we don't take them away from him. His favorite toys are toys that squeak and he is gentle with them. Prince will do really well in a mature home of empty nesters or senior persons that are retired. A home with young children would not be the best place for him. Young children stress him out. Prince needs someone .that understands he's a sassy Chihuahua and is willing to respect his boundaries. Someone with Chihuahua experience would be amazing! Princess fine with other dogs and cats and a quiet home life. He is housebroken and doesn't destroy things when home alone. Prince does have the wonderful sides to him. And the sides that need to be respected and observed.As with most small breed, dogs who can be particular. Miguel is a charismatic little guy with loads of personality. He gets along great with all the dogs and cats and has no problem meeting new people. He is a true lap dog, loves to snuggle, rides in your lap in the car and sleeps in bed under the covers. He enjoys going out for a good walk and exploring. His loves stuffed animals and squeaky toys make him wild with excitement. He likes to dance (but you have to sing). At just 6 lbs he needs a little careful handling. He gets cold easily and does not want to rough house with larger dogs. He will do best in a house without young children. Only her little head was sticking out and she is one lucky girl that they spotted her. Fawn is just a pup, maybe nine months old and likely just about fully grown. Her injury appears to be healing with rest and was likely soft tissue damage as nothing was noted on X-rays. Her stray hold has passed and no one came for her. She is now looking for her perfect home! She is in good health, is receiving her vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped in early February. Until her spay is complete, she is only available for adoption locally to the Richmond, VA area. Should she still be adoptable after her spay, we will then consider homes outside our immediate area.
