Story
If you are not ready to fall in love then proceed with caution because this little lady is playing for keeps. Her name is Moon, she is treat enthusiast, couch companion, has a tail that never stops wagging, and has been dubbed the neighborhood stroll professional. Moon’s fosters shared that she melted beautifully into their home and routine, showing just how easy it is to live with and love her. Sweet, easy company, quietly playful, and very happy to be near her people, Moon has that lovely “big love, tiny body” quality, with just enough pep and joy to keep life fun. Go watch her on YouTube and see her gentle charm for yourself, then come right back, because this darling girl has a lot to love packed into her 13.5-pound frame. https://youtu.be/5x9f2E6LPEY Moon is estimated to be around 8 years old and appears to be a Chihuahua mix, though as always with rescue, breed and age are our best guess. What we can say for certain is that she is not reading the memo on what “8 years old” is supposed to look like. She has a playful, bouncy side, enjoys her walks, loves a good treat, and is very much interested in being part of whatever her people are doing. She is genuinely pleased to be included in everyday life- relaxing at home, hopping up for couch time, or heading out for a little neighborhood stroll. Moon is fostered in a loving home with a dachshund buddy and a couple who have absolutely adored watching her settle in. She is fully house trained, crate trained, and trustworthy around the house, which means no sneaky chewing projects and no running off with your belongings like a tiny raccoon in disguise. She knows how to simply be a lovely little companion. She enjoys leash walks and has great basic leash skills, making her an easy addition for someone who wants a dog happy to join them for calm daily outings. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up nicely and relaxes with ease. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet nature shines through in such a gentle, steady way. No drama, just ease and sweetness. We spent the afternoon with her outside of her foster home and Moon was sweet throughout and did well meeting new dogs. She shared space nicely with both Dolly, a small/medium dog and Rusty a large, confident dog, showing us that she can do well around small and large dogs alike. If another dog gets too pushy and lingers in her face too long, she may offer a very slight lip curl to say she would prefer a little breathing room, which honestly feels like a fair and polite boundary. Overall, she was comfortable free roaming with the other dogs and handled herself beautifully. She isn't going to command the room when she walks into a new place, but she gets comfortable, settles in, and who she is shows- a kind, treat-loving, couch-enjoying little companion with lovely manners and a warm heart. Moon feels like such a wonderful match for someone looking for an easy, affectionate dog who still has a playful spark and plenty of life to share. She is past the chaos, fully equipped with house manners, and ready to bring her calm little orbit into someone’s world. Story
Welcome Corporal to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 6-pound Chihuahua mixed with mini schnauzer. He has the look of the Chihuahua more than the schnauzer momma. He should be 10 pounds or less full grown. Corporal has some really neat looking multicolor feet. His mom looks exactly like a high mixed schnauzer. Corporal is flat coated and while he likes being held, he is playful. He is crate trained, good with his siblings, good in a car and uses potty pads. He isn’t overly vocal and is less assertive than some in his pack. He has a tough stance but he is a marshmallow. He is not a shedder at all that we can see. His coat is soft and flat and the schnauzer in him will make him less of a shedding dog as he grows up. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older, due to his small size. Puppies are best with someone not working all day every day. He needs time with his human and time to finish up his puppy training. He is small enough and social, so he would be a good one to take places with you. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Blonde is 2 years old and 28 pounds. We think she is a Chi/Pug mix. She is sweet as the day is long. Loves to snuggle and has never turned down a belly rub! She is great in the car, walks well on leash, is housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit. She is also good with other dogs. This little lady is ready for her forever home, could that be with you? https://www.vermontenglishbulldogrescue.com/non-bulldog-application/

Story
Looking for a loyal best friend who thinks you’re the center of the universe? Meet Luna, the sweetheart who is ready to bloom in a home of her very own! Watching her go from a shy observer to your most affectionate shadow is the most rewarding journey you'll ever take. Luna is the kind of pup who forms deep, soulful bonds with her people and finds her greatest comfort in simply being near you. Once she feels safe, her loving personality begins to shine in the most beautiful way. Luna doesn't just want a house, she wants a human to call her own. Watch Luna’s soft spirit and quiet sweetness in action here: https://youtu.be/Bjib7hhIpLc We suspect Luna is a charming Chihuahua and Rat Terrier mix, weighing in at a sturdy yet portable 23 lbs. She is the perfect sturdy small size enough for great snuggles on the couch, but compact enough to easily scoop up for a cuddle. Like all our rescues, her breed mix is our best "guesstimate," but her 100% adorable status is a total fact! Luna is currently thriving in a loving foster home. This experience has shown us just how much love she has to give once she feels safe. She is what we lovingly call a velcro girl. She is a dedicated companion who finds her confidence through her person and loves to stay close. Her foster shared “Luna’s is an amazing dog! My favorite thing is that she loves to dance with me”. Whether you’re running errands or heading out on an adventure, Luna is fantastic in the car. She’s a calm traveler who is just happy to be included in the journey. She may not be the life of the party, but she is absolutely the heart of the home. In other words Luna is a gentle loving companion who is ready to simply share your space and keep your feet warm. When it comes to other dogs, Luna is a polite and peaceful socialite! She’d do best with a low-to-medium energy dog who will give her space and allow her confidence to grow at her own pace. She’d also thrive as a solo dog since she’s so focused on her person. Is your home feline-friendly? Luna was tolerant of Biggie, our house cat, watching him roam without showing too much interest.we’d love for her to have a supervised kitty sleepover to see how she does once she’s feeling more comfortable before making it official. Luna’s ideal home will be one that moves at her pace. A yard or quieter neighborhood setting would help her adjust while she learns the ropes. She’s a dedicated homebody who wants to keep your feet warm and be your most loyal confidante in your private oasis. Luna is a gentle, 23-pound soul who is looking for a hero to be her whole world. She’s polite with other dogs, respectful of cats, and has a heart of gold just waiting to burst open for the right family. Ready to be the person Luna has been waiting for? https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/698cb2474e8793de870865e3 Questions?
