Story
Welcome to Jade at the CCPAL Rescue. Jade is an 8-week-old Chiweenie. She is the mostly solid brown color with white around her nose. She is the middle sized in the litter and very cuddly. She is the most laid back and is very relaxed for a puppy. She has the white on her nose and no stripe up her nose like her sister. The video says Ruby but look at the markings. It is actually Jade. She likes being held and is very outgoing and loves people. The momma was a Chihuahua. We don’t know what the dad is. A few in this litter have some dapple coloration. She is really cute and should be under 10 pounds full grown is our best guess. Ruby has the little stripe on her head. She was raised at CCPAL rescue so she gets lots of attention. She has had 2 rounds of her puppy vaccines and will get the 3rd round before she is ready to be spayed. She is adorable and will make some lucky family a great companion. If we have a family with children, we like them to be 8 or older. She is very trusting of people so we want her to be treated with kindness and care. Someone that doesn’t work all day everyday would be best for a puppy. That will allow you time to finish off her training and to be around your pup. She would do great in a daycare for doggies as well. She has learned great socialization with her siblings. She is also good with cats. She is currently at the CCPAL Rescue and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont, or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org. Take a look at her cute video.

Story
Welcome Bandit to CCPAL Rescue. Bandit is an Apple Head Chihuahua pup. He is about 2 years old. He weighs about 6 pounds. He likes being held and is a little shy. This boy had a very terrible person for his owner. She was a sexual deviant and he and the other dogs in this house were abused by this person. A good Samaritan stepped in and took all the dogs. Bandit was with foster care until she called CCPAL and we took them into the Rescue. He is a little shy and when he is scared, wants to retreat. He has a nice short coat and the loyalty of the Chihuahua breed. He is good with other dogs and despite his past, he is very loving. He and the others in this group really are doing well and are responding to loving and very normal attention at the Rescue. They are fitting in well with routines and the schedules at the Rescue. The dogs will get daily cuddles and assurance that people are nice and most are very normal. Bandit would be great in a quieter home. I would say a retired couple or a single person wanting a rather quiet and low energy companion animal. He will be getting his neuter soon and he has already gotten his toenails clipped and vaccinations. None of these dogs are fully potty trained but we will be working on really good schedules and crate training at the Rescue. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. He could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. . Story
Poor little Chewy was spotted in the woods and was too scared to come to anyone. We had to set a trap and after 3 days we finally caught him! He was skin and bones but as soon as we got him back to the rescue and out of the crate, sweet as sugar! He's actually a bit of a cling on now, probably afraid someone will dump him again. He's super friendly with strangers and kids which is a wonderful trait for a Chihuahua. We don't think he is full blooded Chihuahua, perhaps mixed with Rat Terrier, just a guess. His pictures aren't the best because it was a freezing cold windy day. Our vet thinks he's about 4 years young. He has some mild tartar on his teeth so we are having his teeth professionally cleaned. He is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, crate trained and microchipped. He will be ready for transport on February 21st. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE: $700
