Story
Lexie is estimated to be around 5 years old and about 15 lbs. Here is Lexi (Alexandria), she's a sassy, spunky, and energetic (est) 5-year-old Chihuahua mix who's about 15 and a half lbs. She's a little nervous at first but once she loves you she cannot get enough of you. Does not believe in personal space. Biggest snuggle bug. She is sassy and loud and let's you know what she wants and when she wants it. She loves her fluffy duck and her bed, and is always excited to go for a W-A-L-K. While this little sweetheart loves long walks and exploring, she has fantastic leash manners and is incredibly receptive to commands. She needs a very special home, a little under 3 years ago she was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. This is very well controlled with her medications but she is going to need those for the rest of her life. She also needs to go to a child free household. She was treated badly at a previous home, and since then human miniatures are a no-go. Lexi is excellent with other dogs, cats, kittens, adults (again, little nervous but incredibly food motivated and will do about anything for a treat). If you would like to inquire more about Lexi, please reach out to Long Way Home so we can connect! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. Story
Sometimes the best things come in small packages! Sweet Adelina (or Addy as her foster Mom calls her) is such a treasure and just wants to be with her people! She enjoys sitting near her family's feet or laying on a blanket while they work on the computer and just staying as close as she can. She doesn't like closed doors (smile) but will stay on one side of a baby gate if there is a need. Little Addy loves food so much that her foster mom uses a "slow bowl" so that she will take her time and enjoy it - and not steal anyone else's food. She walks well on a leash and is good about going potty outside as long as she is let out regularly. She is also good with other dogs and the teenager in her foster home. She barks when her family leaves the house as if to say 'please come back soon - I love you'! So if you think you are worthy of that kind of devotion, then ask about adopting Adelina - she will make you her top priority! To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. Story
Jojo is a sweet girl that LOVES her people. Her snout is a little smaller than some because she is missing part of her jaw, but it has ZERO impact on her appetite. She's looking for a home that is somewhat laid back, but where her people want her to be interested in her.Could YOU be that person? To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
