Story
Pooh Bear is a special senior Chihuahua looking for a forever home after being rescued from the Dallas shelter's euthanasia list nearly a year ago. Surrendered by his owner at around eight years old due to health issues, Pooh Bear had a rough start but is ready for a fresh chapter. Partially blind, he can see shadows but occasionally bumps into things, though he manages well with a routine. Pooh Bear's demeanor is unique and requires patience—he took about two months to warm up enough for scratches but can be particular about when he's had enough attention. Despite a challenging start in foster care, he's come a long way and now navigates stairs and his favorite spots with ease. Pooh Bear communicates his needs by sticking his head through the banister or getting into a crate for transport outside, then returns promptly to his favorite spot in bed. At night, he enjoys lying next to you under the blankets but prefers no touching. This stinker of a Chihuahua is now around nine years old, 10 pounds, and seeking a patient and understanding home. If Pooh Bear sounds like the companion you've been looking for, submit your application today to meet him and witness his unique personality firsthand. He's ready to leave his past behind and flourish in a loving home. No children in household please. If you are interested in adding this special guy to your family, please go to our website and complete an application for adoption. www.chloespetrescue.org/application Pooh’s adoption fee is $75. He is fully vetted. Pooh Bear is considered special needs, so feel free to contact us to discuss adoption further.

His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle in your lap & under the covers! During the day he is a perfect work-from-home buddy who will sleep at your feet in a dog bed. Petey goes potty outside like a champ and can hold his bladder all night and for many hours during the day. He will come right to you when called. He gobbles up breakfast & dinner and loves treats. Petey takes a bath well and as a short haired dog, does not require professional grooming. He is grumpy and will fuss about getting his nails trimmed, though…so watch out!! Petey will not go for walks on a leash but will be carried. He shakes when he is nervous and excited- typical of this breed! We call him our little jitterbug. He only barks at a doorbell and occasionally when out back. He is friendly to all strangers but does not do well around children under five. If you love chihuahuas and all their funny quirks, Petey is your man! He would be best as an only dog, but will tolerate another small dog if necessary.  He is not a fan of big dogs or cats, but adjusting to them in foster home. -- Where did he come from: Owner was moving and had to downsize her dogs.   Adoption: ***** $100.00 ***** Weight: 10 lbs. Meet Stitch: The Chihuahua with a Heart Waiting to Trust Again Introducing Stitch, a 5-year-old Chihuahua weighing approximately 13 pounds. Stitch was recently surrendered to Chloe’s Pet Rescue after his owners were displaced. Adopted from the SPCA several years ago, Stitch likely hasn’t seen a vet since—but we’re happy to report he is heartworm negative and ready to find a home where he can finally feel safe and loved. Chihuahuas have a reputation for being a bit particular, and Stitch is no exception. He is not a dog for everyone and absolutely cannot go to a home with children. Stitch needs someone with patience and a gentle touch to help him feel comfortable and learn to trust again. We don’t know what he’s been through in the past, but we do know that with the right person, he can learn what it truly means to be loved. If you’re up for the challenge and have the heart to give Stitch the love and understanding he needs, please submit your adoption application today. We are also searching for a foster home where Stitch can begin his journey of healing and trust. Are you the one who can show Stitch what love really is? Apply now to make a difference in your life (Dallas TX) https://chloespetrescue.org/application

Story
Meet Pebbles – A Gentle, Timid Soul in Search of a Patient, Loving Home Pebbles is a 6-year-old, 14-pound Chihuahua mix with a shy, reserved personality. Though a bit timid, she’s shown she can warm up with time, patience, and gentle care. She walks well on a leash and is learning to trust her human companions. With a calm approach, Pebbles will gradually blossom into a wonderful companion for someone willing to give her the time and understanding she needs. Medical Notes: Pebbles is heartworm negative, spayed, and recently underwent a veterinary assessment for a neck growth, which was drained. She also has some dental disease, a distended abdomen that may indicate possible Cushing’s disease, and a small cyst on her neck. Despite these health concerns, Pebbles is ready to find a compassionate home where she can feel safe and loved. Pebbles will thrive in a calm, patient environment with someone who can let her take things at her own pace. Could you be the one to show Pebbles the love she’s been waiting for? Adoption fee is $225 Complete your application today at https://chloespetrescue.org/application

🩷 Adopt Mango an a d Chula 🩷 They’re SUCH a great pair, they stick together like peas and carrots but they’re the BEST most sweetest ever girls! They haven’t had much outside exposure (getting all their puppy shots) but they do all their busines when we out. Other times, they have a large kennel with their bed in the back, potty pad in the front a they’ve been doing GREAT! They’re about 10 weeks old, the smaller puppy is about 3 pounds and the other is close to 5. We’ve made many guesses towards their breed, we’ve got dachshund, puggles, maybe chihuahua. They’re not crazy barky unless they’re playing with rather. 💙💙 ADOPT PEPE 💙💙 Pepe came to us after being abandoned at the Fort Worth shelter with a torn ACL. His ACL surgery went AMAZING, he had his neuter, and his teeth cleaned, as well as a Pro-Heart shot and other vaccines. He’s having his last laser therapy treatment for his leg this week and he’s doing SO good!! We believe he’s about 10 years old, he’s a chihuahua so that’s about mid-age 🙂 He’s got a typical spunky chihuahua attitude, he’s your BFF when he wants to be, or he’ll just do his own thing. He really likes men but anyone trying to give him lovens is a friend indeed! He’s a sweetheart and a half and weighs about 10 pounds If you’re interested in adopting Pepe, please fill out an application at: www.FriendsUnitedinRescue.com/adoptions

Story
Woof! I'm a senior gentleman looking for my forever home. I may be a bit hard of hearing, but I'm still full of love and waggles! I'm a big softie who loves cuddles and belly rubs. I'm a pro at chilling out and going with the flow. I'm good with just about everyone – humans, cats, dogs, you name it! I'm also a master of the leash and love going for walks. Plus, I'm a total pro at patio dining. I've had a rough start, but I'm ready to trade in my past for a future filled with love and belly rubs. I promise to be the sweetest, most laid-back companion you could ask for. So, what do you say? Ready to give an old boy like me a chance? Here's how to adopt me: Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $125 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. APPLY HERE: www.richardsonhumanesociety.org ##2197443##

Story
From Starving On Streets In Mexico To A Safe Loving Foster Home! Paloma was, like many homeless displaced pets, struggling to survive on the streets. A kind samaritan in Mexico took her in & reached out to us for help. Paloma was vetted & transported to our foster home in the Austin area. This precious girl was shy upon arriving, but soon made friends with her new foster siblings. Now she plays & smiles every day. We hope she will forget the time when she was fighting to survive on the streets, not knowing where or if she'd find her next meal. Paloma is a beautiful pup. She's estimated to be 1 year old & she's approx 20 lbs. She's been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped. She's current on heartworm prevention & flea prevention. Paloma would love to find a forever home. She would be happy either as part of a pack or as an only pet. She adores people, dogs & cats! She enjoys playing with doggie pals. She's crate trained, housetrained, pretty quiet & a little shy. She loves attention & would make a wonderful lap dog! 💕 If you're considering adding a little family member, please meet Paloma. She's a little sweetheart who has so much love to give. 🐾💞 615-540-8448 Furever Home Pet Rescue bemyforeverhome.org --> please copy-paste-SHARE Paloma's post! 🙏🩷

He is very shy at first but once he warms up, he is a total lover! However, he is not fond of strangers. He will normally attach himself to calm low voiced peopled. He can be rather dramatic when he's scared of someone. He's young but his time in the hoarding home has scarred him. Sadly, he would do best in a home with one or two people and not many visitors.
