He is a little vocal and shy meeting strangers but quickly adapt to humans. He does better with women but will quickly adapt to men. Needing to rehome him because owners are moving and pets are not allowed.

Sammy is 2 1/2 years old. I met Sam in the parking lot of the animal shelter. I was considering adopting a dog and met Sammy, about to be surrendered. I took him home. He was happy, energetic and playful. My husband and I decided to breed lhasa apsos. Everything went well at first. Sammy was so happy to have a playmate and he and the male lhasa apso loved to play together. However, when the female lhasa apso came in heat,that all changed. The stud dog became aggressive toward Sammy, becoming vicious. We tried to work with the 2 males. The aggression lessened but not the intimidation. Sammy became more and more frightened being afraid to get off the sofa at times. He is no longer the joyful happy dog we adopted. He deserves better; he deserves to be appreciated for the special dog he is. I had a DNA test done and will share the results.

Agile and energetic by day, she's a total cuddle bug in the evenings. Little Bit is crate trained, house trained, and even loves hanging out in her crate with the door open. She can be a tad selective about her doggy friends, but she should be just fine with proper intros. She likes to think she's the top dog, so a home with gentle souls would probably work best. This cute little girl recently came into our rescue so we’re still getting to know her! She is a little cautious with new people at first and startles easy. Nella LOVES cuddling and playing with toys! She gets along well with her dog foster brothers and is treat motivated. She is still working on leash walking. Nella needs to be fed separately from other dogs and left alone while she eats as she can be possessive of her food! As a result of this, we would suggest no homes with little kids!

Meet Selma! Selma is a 2 year old possible Chug (Chihuahua/Pug) mix who wants every drop of your love. She is curious, playful, silly, and a great walking buddy. She loves to chase balls and can somehow fit a regular size tennis ball in her mouth. She is potty trained and goes in a crate when needed but prefers to snuggle with you at night.She came to us with 20 other dogs who were living on an abandoned property in horrible conditions with little to no human interaction. Since her rescue, Selma has only wanted one thing, a human. She follows her foster momma everywhere (literally) she has even fallen in the tub a few times with foster mom trying to be a part of everything she does.Her distinctive eye does not slow her down and is currently being treated by a specialist. She loves and plays with all dogs big and small but can be a little protective with bigger dogs so a home with medium to small dogs is preferred. Meet Solomon! Solomon is a brindle Chi mix that came to Saving Hope from a horrible breeder dumping environment where he was never touched or felt love. He huddled in the back of his crate for days, only coming out when he was alone. It was weeks before he let his foster mom pet him and even longer for others. After a few months under the care of Saving Hope, Solomon is a different boy and ready for his own family. He still has some fears and may bark at new people until he trusts, so he will need an adopter that understands his fears and will work to gain his trust. He gets along with other dogs, but has never been around cats or kids. Solomon is crate trained and potty trained, but will forget his manners on occasion. He is 3 years old so he’s still in the mischievous puppy stage. He can’t read, but that doesn’t keep him from eating your magazine. He weighs 22 lbs which isn’t too big or too small, but just right.
