Meet Buster! Buster is an 11 pound 5-6 year old chihuahua mix. From his foster mom: Buster had a very tough beginning in life. Part of a hoarding situation, he was never allowed indoors no matter how hot or cold it might be outside. His two foster moms have been patient and loving and have let Buster learn how to trust. While he is still skittish around new people, his foster mom says he loves to crawl under the comforter with her and curl up in her legs. He sleeps in his crate without making a sound 8-10 hours a night. He doesn’t like the harness, but with a simple loop over his head he will walk for miles and miles. He becomes so attached, he doesn’t even need a leash, he stays close to his foster mom’s legs wherever she goes. Buster sleeps all day in his foster mom’s office while she works and he loves to follow her everywhere. At night he will snuggle on the couch. He now loves attention and will go anywhere – including in the car – his foster mom wants to take him. Buster is fine with men, too. He does attach to one person but he gets used to anyone else in the home. He is excellent with dogs of all ages and sizes and he pays no attention to cats. Just a generally happy guy. Buster is heartworm-negative and on heartworm prevention. He is neutered, up to date on all shots and microchipped. Buster is currently in New England. His adoption donation is $250 and includes his transport north from TN, vetting and health certificate. Loki is a sweet & cuddly boy, he loves to play and always prefers to be held. He is 5. Loki does great with other pets and always tries to interact whenever he can. Loki spent the last 4 years with another chihuahua named Lunabell. She was his best friend and they cuddled together every night. Unfortunately Luna recently passed away and due to this we have been concerned that Loki may become too lonely without her presence. We sadly don’t have the time to give him the attention he needs in her absence. He can sometimes have trouble being away from his owners for extended periods of time, and will cry if he feels uncomfortable or unsafe. We’re hoping he gets adopted into a family with other pets or a very attentive family. He is the perfect dog to be right next to you all the time. A best friend for life!

He sleeps with his foster mom or in his open crate – his choice. Chico loves lap time. The best home for Chico will have a secure fence. Kids over 10 and with excellent doggy manners would be okay. Another well temperamented dog would be fabulous. An excellent history of vet care for current or previous pets is required. Previous specific breed experience will be given preference. He is fully vetted including spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.
