Story
JAX — Sweet. Spicy. Totally worth it.Jax is around 8 years old and ready (again) for his true forever home. He’s low-maintenance, affectionate, and wants nothing more than to be near his person. His ideal day?SunbathingLong napsFollowing you aroundCuddling once he trusts youJax is back with us through no fault of his own. His previous family adored him, but he wasn’t comfortable with their large dog. Now we know he would do best either as an only dog or with dogs his size. No kids for this guy.He is sweet… and a little spicy. He needs time to trust — but once you’re his person, you are his person. He can be a little bossy with other dogs, but he does get along — he just likes to make sure everyone knows he has opinions. And when he feels good? He does his famous “wormy worm” in the grass — rolling on his back like pure, happy sunshine. It’s honestly the cutest thing you’ll see all week.Jax will be spoiled in his foster home until the perfect fit comes along — because we know his person is out there.Meet Jax – Sweet, Spicy, and Looking for His Person  Jax is an 8-year-old Chihuahua with a big personality packed into a tiny body. He’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy—affectionate and cuddly once he feels safe, but confident enough to know what he likes and needs. Jax will do best with an adopter who understands that good things take time. He needs space to decompress, learn a routine, and build trust at his own pace. Once he does, you’ll have a loyal little companion who loves to be close to his person. Jax’s Ideal Home: • No small children • Someone who respects boundaries • Calm, consistent environment • Gets along with dogs his size with proper boundaries (he may try to be the boss )  Jax’s Favorite Things: • Cuddling • Sunbathing like a tiny solar panel • Toys, toys, and more toys • Sleeping in — definitely not an early bird  Jax isn’t a “grab-and-go” dog, but he is the kind of dog who forms a deep, meaningful bond with the right person. If you’re patient, understanding, and ready to give an older dog the loving home he deserves, Jax could be your perfect match Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made. The application is the first step. He weighs in just under 10 pounds and is estimated to be around 6 years old. He is quiet and holds back a little more than the other two, just observing. It’s obvious they all love each other but I feel like they could develop that relationship with another dog in their future homes. I am going to work on separating them for periods of time and see how they each act solo to get a better idea.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step.
