Story
Adoption Area: East Tennessee Riblet needs: -Professional belly rubber -Patient owner -No children -Calm and quiet adult home -Fenced yard -No cats Hello, my name is Riblet. I am a sweet 3-year-old, 11-lb male Chihuahua mix. I was rescued from the shelter life and prior to being in a shelter my story gets a little confusing. I am a very sweet boy and handsome. I love to have my belly rubbed. I may need a short period to adjust to my new family as I do not do well with strangers and will bark and growl but once I get acclimated I will be your best friend. I do pretty well with my house training and I am comfortable with using a doggy door to go into a fenced area. I do walk on a leash fine but have a lot of energy so a fenced yard will be best for me. My foster mom encourages me to sit on the couch so that she can put a leash on me as I try to get more belly rubs. I eat in a crate because I love to eat any food that I can get my paws on. I also sleep in a crate with very little whining but I would rather sleep in the big bed with my person. I am learning to take naps to calm down and to cuddle with my foster mom. I do well in a car but my foster mom says I have to sit in a booster seat, which I am getting accustomed to. I enjoy playing fetch and I am getting better at bringing back toys. I do ok with the other dogs in the house as long as they are not in my face too much. I would not mind having a home to myself because I love to get all the attention and belly rubs. I do chase the cat at my foster home so I would do better without cats in my forever home. Sometimes when I am running, I may hold up a rear leg. The vet has checked me out and he said I just have a slippy hock that lets my leg sometimes extend more than it should and there is really nothing to do for it. This does not slow me down and it is just the way I am built. Overall, I am a happy little Chihuahua mix. I enjoy following my foster mom around the house and will sleep in the office while she works. If you are in the kitchen though I will be right there with you because I love food. I’m neutered, microchipped, also up to date on my vaccines, flea and heartworm preventions. My adoption fee is $175. Don’t forget I’m looking for a professional belly rubber. If you think this could be you please contact my friends at SBRET.com and I could become your new best friend.

Story
Adoption Area: East Tennessee George needs: -Quiet adult home or one with children at least 10 years old -Someone who has experience with shy/skittish dogs -Another small to medium-sized dog to be his friend -Secure fenced backyard for potty breaks All about George: Hello - my name is George. I am a chihuahua mix, weigh 7 pounds, and estimated to be about 4 years old. My foster mom says I am super cute and snuggly. I came from a home with too many dogs and was probably not socialized much so I tend to be skittish with new people and new environments. I am doing very well with house training. I do need a secure fenced yard for potty breaks. Because I am skittish with new people and might be a flight risk when I first arrive at my forever home, a secure fenced backyard is important. Once I get comfortable with you, I will stay by your side. I get along great with other dogs. When I am not on my foster mom's lap, I curl up with the other dogs here. I sleep in a crate next to my foster mom's bed but I would prefer to sleep with my humans. I do well with car rides - I ride quietly buckled to a car seat. I am neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and heartworm/flea prevention. I had a dental and did not lose any teeth! I have a slippy left knee cap but it does not bother me at all. If you have experience with shy/skittish dogs and are willing to give me time to warm up to you, you will be rewarded with a loving companion and a perfect lapdog. My adoption fee is $175.

Story
Rocco has been in his foster for several weeks. He is a short-haired Chihuahua about three years old and weighs nine pounds. Rocco gets along well with the other two Chihuahuas in the home. He is sweet, energetic, and likes to cuddle with you on the sofa, and he is almost house-trained. He needs to go to a loving home with older children to give him plenty of attention. Rocco enjoys his toys and likes to dig them out of the toy box. He is an excellent eater and is very inquisitive. Introducing Sarah! Look at this adorable older gal. She is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix around 9 years old. Poor Sarah was found on the Turnpike and rescued by a very kind person. Sarah has been in foster care where they have learned that she is very affectionate, loves children and is housebroken. Sarah appears to not like other dogs so she will do best as an only dog where she can receive all the love and attention she deserves. The sweet, kind spirit needs to find her new family quickly. She has so much love and joy to offer, it should not be wasted! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 15 Age: 9yrs 0mths 0wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi! My name is Benji! I am chihuahua mix, approx. 10 lbs. and one hot mess!! I am approx. 5 years old and a "tripod" that has had a tough time and looking for that special fur-ever home. I have that feisty chihuahua disposition and separation anxiety issues. I need a quiet, patient, mature couple that understands small dog behavior and would like to add me to their pack..I do best with a companion or 2 (or more?) that are my size...I do not do well around bigger dogs and do not care at all for cats. I am house trained and if you miss my "signals", I do very well with a pad. Because of my limitations, a level house with few stairs are best... Once I am settled and "part of the pack" I am very affectionate and seek love and snuggles. I will play with my pack mates and humans. I walk well in harness and lead but can get tire as might be expected. I travel well in the car and enjoy being carried in a sling. If you have spare love in your heart for me, please call 423-442-1015 to set up an appointment as I am in a foster home.
