Peppermint Patty is such a sweet older lady at 12. She loves to sleep under the covers at night and naps. She has about 4 favorite places to nap. She loves being outside sitting in the sun and exploring the yard. She has a little playful side as well. Not for very long but when it happens it's adorable. She spins when she's excited. She rarely barks unless you are not doing what she wants which almost never happens because I dote on her. She gets along with my small dogs very well. They ignore each other most of the time. She's precious!Peppermint Patty is doing great! Loves to wander around the yard many times a day. Sleeps under blankets and loves to be petted. She is going to do great in a house with someone who can let her out often. She's great with my dogs who are all small. She not much of a barker, one of the only times she's barked was to get me out of bed at 5am!Peppermint Pattys owner passed away and she is looking for a new forever home. Poor Groot!!He was almost kill by dogs attacking him and now stuck at a Shelter where he is surrounded by loud barking dogs and smells like fear.He was attacked by dogs in 2023. Angel fund paid to have him put back together. Now he is at the shelter. I guess the owner was not able to keep himany longer. Meet Cleo! This 5 year old min pin mix is about 12 pounds and absolutely beautiful!! She is also a little escape artist and escaped for several weeks! Since she’s been back in our care she’s been super shy and scared! She’s started to warm up some but she definitely prefers everything on her terms! She likes her own little space and loves her crate! She’s potty pad trained and loves treats and to eat She’s not big on being picked up or held but once she trusts she will let you pet her head. She is great for someone who has time and patience to let her warm up on her own timing! She’s a super easy to take care of gal in that she just wants her food, cozy crate, and needs her potty pad! He loves to play and is very fast and athletic. He is very vocal and voices his opinion when the topic is food or going outside. He Blended in quickly with my personal pack and loves them after strict, proper introductions were done. He is 100 potty trained, not a marker. He does shed. He loves sleeping with humans, but is crate trained for nighttime or time outs.Dean is a bundle of love, he wants nothing more than to be petted and loved. Poor little Chewy was spotted in the woods and was too scared to come to anyone. We had to set a trap and after 3 days we finally caught him! He was skin and bones but as soon as we got him back to the rescue and out of the crate, sweet as sugar! He's actually a bit of a cling on now, probably afraid someone will dump him again. He's super friendly with strangers and kids which is a wonderful trait for a Chihuahua. We don't think he is full blooded Chihuahua, perhaps mixed with Rat Terrier, just a guess. His pictures aren't the best because it was a freezing cold windy day. Our vet thinks he's about 4 years young. He has some mild tartar on his teeth so we are having his teeth professionally cleaned. He is neutered, vaccinated, heart worm negative, crate trained and microchipped. He will be ready for adoption on February 21st. ADOPTION FEE: $600

Anna is a 9 year old, 10lb adorable Chug (chihuahua/pug mix) who has endured some big human turmoil recently and ended up in a Middle Tennessee shelter. Not much is known of her history, but her underweight condition indicates at least some neglect took place. A really devoted foster mom for Critter.Cavalry Rescue noticed her profile in the shelter and realized that being a senior she might not be chosen very easily by the general public. This young foster woman is making sure that Anna has everything she needs. She used to be timid at first and a little wary of quick movements but all that has changed and she is miss independent, confident and amazing in her whole personality turn around. She wants to be by your side and your best snuggle buddy now. Anna has some spunk and can run up stairs as fast as any puppy. She is good with other dogs and initiates playing and loves puppies! She is finally starting to play with toys and it's so wonderful to see her discovering that side to her personality. She used to be so serious and sad. She does well on a leash and going outside. She is potty trained and crate trained and she loves her crate as a getaway space. We are wanting someone who works from home or is retired and nit gone long long hours daily. She has found the cozy comforts of warm blankets and fluffy pillows are special and she sweetly burrows underneath. Anna has lots of love to give and deserves a family to spoil her. She is extremely timid, so it takes her time to trust people. She does not like to be picked up nor held. This is kind of a big deal!!Feb 21 Bobo had his vet visit where he had a full dental. Prior to that his teeth hurt so badly he didn't even want to eat. Here we are a week later... And he is loving that bully stick!! He's playing with toys now and bouncing and running in the yard. He's a completely different dogHello everyone! This is Bobo he is one of the California dogs. He's about 8 years old and around 9 lbs. He's a pom mixHe is crate trained and housebroken and learns new routines very quickly. In 3 days he had figured out our routine and fell right into it. He is loose in the house with my resident dog when I run errands.He is tenderfooted outside in our yard which makes me wonder if he's had a well manicured grass lawn instead of being walked on a variety of surfaces. He does well on a leash but enjoys the freedom of a fenced back yard.He is not a high energy dog. He's very happy to follow you from room to room wagging his tail and curl up wherever you are.He gets along well with my resident dog and although he hasn't started playing yet, (My dog has tried lol) he may do that once he decompresses a bit. Untested with cats and kids.I gave him a bath and blew him dry, trimmed his feet and nails and he was VERY good for the whole procedure. It's obvious he's been groomed regularly in his life. He's super soft (outside pics were taken right after his bath) He loves to sunbathe in the yard now that temps have finally warmed up.He LOVES being held and melts in your arms even when sitting on the couch. He's VERY sweet and is the easiest foster that I have ever had. SWEET SWEET SWEET. He's not a big kisser nor does he jump on the couch. He uses little doggie steps that I have put next to the couch. I have not heard him bark once.He visited the vet for neutering and an extensive dental. It was clear how much pain he was in because he's a totally different dog!He's happy, spins for his dinner and dives into his crate for meals. He's trying to figure out how to play with toys now that he can put his mouth on them without any pain.Bobo is a precious loving little dog who would LOVE a lap of his own!
