Story
Meet Susie Q! Susie Q was found after being dumped at a school and was seen going through dumpsters just to survive. Susie is just baby. We are guessing she was born at the beginning of 2024. At first with thought she was a chihuahua/doxie mix, but I think she may have some Italian Greyhound or Min Pin in her too. Whatever her mix is, she is cute and I LOVE her big ears! She weighs around 15 pounds, spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. This girl loves to play anywhere she is, inside or outside! She is great with people, but may play too hard for small kids. She is good with other dogs, but is not a huge fan of cats. Susie is good in the house as long as she gets plenty of potty breaks and toys to chew on! Garbage must be secured as well because she hasn’t broken the habit of thinking she’s got to go through garbage to eat, poor girl. The adoption fee is $200 to an approved and loving home. All vet records and her harness/leash will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available. We do keep our website and Petfinder updated regularly. Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply. Thank you for looking at our rescues in need of amazing homes!

Story
Meet Nina! Nina and her puppies were needing a new place to go so they wouldn’t be sent to animal control. Her puppies have been placed (by another rescue) and now it’s Nina’s turn to find HER place to live the good life, from here on out! She is around 2 years old and weighs around 8 pounds. Nina is spayed (so no more litters for her anymore), current on all shots, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Nina is great with dogs, some cats (if they run, she will chase usually), and CALM kids. We would like her to have another dog friend in the home. She is a snuggle bug and oh so sweet! She is good in the house as long as she gets plenty of potty breaks. However, please expect accidents with any pet is in a new environment. She has a fence here, so if there is no fence and she is leash walked, she will have to get used to leash walking. (A fence is highly preferred) The adoption fee is $225 to an approved and loving home. All vet records and her collar or harness will be given to the adopter(s) at the time of adoption. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. Story
Meet Trigger Trigger was dumped at a friend of mines moms’ house around the beginning of August 2024. He is a very good boy and gets along well with people and other dogs. Not sure about cats as the fosters are allergic to kitties, but I would imagine he would be fine since he’s seems so sweet. He does have an old leg injury, that has healed, so he limps slightly. He is around 2 years old and around 10 pounds. Trigger is neutered, updated on all shots, and heartworm tested negative. He will need to be kept on heartworm prevention his whole life, like all dogs should. The adopt fee to cover his care and vetting is $150 to an approve and loving home. All vet records will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. Story
Meet Tweeks! Tweeks is approximately 7-8 yrs old and weighs 8 pounds. He's the sweetest, loving, easy going boy, who loves to be near his person. Tweeks will be neutered, updated on all shots, microchipped, and heartworm tested (hopefully he will be heartworm negative) on 11-8. He would love a home where someone is retired or home more often to spend lots of time with him. He's the perfect lap buddy and companion. He will literally melt in your arms of contentment. Tweeks is working on house manners and does have some accidents, so he will need a patient adopter who will give him time to adjust and learn potty training. Please do not apply if you can't commit to allowing him this time. He loves people and gets attached quickly. Good with other small dogs, not sure about cats since his foster home doesn’t have cats. Older kids should be ok (over 12). Tweeks would definitely be the best boy if you need that best friend and loyal companion. The adoption fee is $150 to an approved and loving home. To apply to adopt go to our website www.fureverfurkids.com *We do home checks for each pet before approving an adoption.* The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. Story
Music: The Orphan Prince Music is in foster and this is from his mom. Music is looking to be the King of your castle He’s a sweet boy that will tell you all his needs and wants. This boy is a Character and will steal your heart! Music is vocal in everything; his likes, dislikes, needs, and wants. He is very spacially aware and very respectful in that way. But also expect that he’s going to come up to you with his sad eyes wanting to jump up and lay right next to you. He will nudge your hand to ask for pets. Prince Music’s favorite hobby besides snuggles is car rides. In his past life he lived in a car, so he loves going on car rides He will hop in a car or he will allow you to pick him up for a brief moment to place him in a car. He would probably prefer a ramp so he could go in the car on his own. He’s a Prince that way ! Grocery curbside pick ups, going through a drive through, or doing any other errands is something he would love to do almost everyday in Music’s perfect Prince-y world! Did I mention he knows Sit, lay, crate, up (like to hop on the bed or couch), “be good to the kitty”, and so much more! He was trained through the Walker County Prison Program Faith Heels! He learned so much from being in the program. A home that understands dachshunds and their personality would be beneficial because he has a lot of personality traits of that breed. Including he loves to burrow under blankets. He is not a digger out in the yard as he is not a fan of staying outside for too long anyways. He is a dog of luxury, refinement, and comforts. He would love a home without pets or only a home with 1 other calm dog (maybe even a senior dog his size would be good as well) that isn’t going to expected to play with them. He will boss around dogs that are bigger than him. He does good with them, but also understand he will come in like he is a boss and boss them around if they get out of line in his opinion. Music is not aggressive at all, do not be confused. He will tell them what to do or not to do. Music is a dog of refinement, so do not expect him to go potty outside in the rain. Do not expect him to get his feet wet in the grass either- he’s too much of a Prince for all that Also if you have any people food either set the boundary that he gets none or expect to share with him because he will bark at you to demand you to share with him. I mean, he’s a Prince after all, so why should his expectations be any less, right? This dog is a riot with personality I’ve never seen before! He is an Orphan Prince that is looking to be the King of your Castle! Consider Prince Music and all of his refinement! ##2190416##
