Hello, my Name is Percy, it's short for Perseverance. I am a 7 year old Chihuahua, I am spayed and current on all shots. Sadly I tested positive for heartworms, so I was started on treatment. Treatment almost killed me so I am taking a safer route. I am in rescue because I was found by a sweet woman who was house sitting. She said I was quite the survivalist. Nobody had ever seen me before. I was gathering everything I needed out of someone's garage and taking it back to a flat bed trailer that I claimed, I even had some yummy cat food I have NEVER known humans to be nice and gentle so when the man came to trap me I was soooo scared. The man turned out to be safe he even brought me to rescue. I have been here a long time being worked with. everyone has shown me that humans are good and loving. She rolled in a day later because she was difficult to catch. She has some trust issues, understandably so. Ester needs someone who will allow her the time she needs to decompress and find her way through all of this. Ester needs to be in a home with other fur siblings so they can show her the ropes. Meet Trigger Trigger was dumped at a friend of mines moms’ house in August 2024. He is a very good boy and gets along well with people and other dogs. Not sure about cats as the fosters are allergic to kitties, but I would imagine he would be fine since he’s seems so sweet. He does have an old leg injury, that has healed, but he limps slightly. He is around 2 years old and around 10 pounds. Trigger is neutered, updated on all shots, and heartworm tested negative. He will need to be kept on heartworm prevention his whole life, like all dogs should. The adopt fee to cover his care and vetting is $100 to an approve and loving home. All vet records will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption. You can text/call his foster mom Joyce with any questions about Trigger since she knows him best. Meet Pebbles! Pebbles was found at a campground several months ago and unfortunately no one claimed her. The owner of the campground was about to call animal control when one of our fosters offered to take her in to keep her out of the shelter. We are guessing she is around 3 years old and looks to be a chihuahua/doxie mix, She weighs 13 pounds. She is spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and current on heartworm prevention. This girl is great with people and every pet she’s met. Not 100% sure about cats, but we do meet and greets anyways to make sure everyone gets along first anyway. She has a slightly deformed paw, probably a birth defect, but it doesn’t slow her down 1 bit and has been double check by the vet. Oh and she is house trained! The adoption fee is $250 to an approved and loving home. All vet records and her harness/leash will be given to the adopter at the time of adoption.
