  If you are looking for a dog with a sweet and soft side then you have to consider this most handsome little chiweenie called Hercules. We're not sure why he was ever called this name that brings to mind strengthen strong arms and height than weight and perhaps a little bit of pompous. Our little Hercules is anything but that. He is a 10-month-old, 11 lbs ,  little guy that is a Chiweenie and Dachshund mix that was adopted out by a rural family that thought he would be fun and no effort.  After the cuteness wore off and some work was required they  then decided that he was toouch effort so they put him outside in a 24/7 outdoor kennel and merely fed him and gave him water when he needed it. He's come to us in the past week and a half, since the beginning of November and now he's been neutered and he's being cared for and loved on by a nurturing foster mom. Hercules does have some things to polish and overcome, but he will get there with the right family. He's a little diamond in the rough who is a really sweet and loving dog that needs a confident family to show him he has worth and value.   He takes time to warm up to you, but if you let it be on his timeline,  he repays you 10 fold.He is learning crate training and is doing good with that. House training Will come along with some time and Critter Cavalry certainly has some words of guidance for that. He is learning what a leash is and is trying very hard.  He needs a home that has a calm environment and some older children and adults that won't have a lot of noise and high activity olto make him nervous. He just needs a nice quiet home with lots of love. This handsome boy does love to cuddle and sit in your lap.   Hercules didn't deserve being put outside in a kennel and was dealt a bad hand as a young pup.  Now he has the right rescue and the right foster mom to ensure that he has a bright future. Hercules will be one of the best redemption projects that you will ever embark on for your life. Put in a little work and you will get a million hours of love and sweetness.   Hello world, my name is Pixie And I am a beautiful Chihuahua girl who everyone says is sweet as Tennessee tea. I love people and I love to sit in your lap and look up in your face and tell you how special you are to me. I'm looking for a great home and a mom or mom and dad that will give me a chance to find my forever roots in life. I'm only four years old and I weigh a really light 8 lb only. I'm pretty, I'm polite, I'm housebroken, I'm good with dogs and cats and children and everything in the world. I have learned to go outside for my bathroom breaks and I can also use potty pads inside. I'm a versatile little girl who is small in stature but I have a big heart     My foster mom has been terrific and has taught me so much in life. I am crate trained and I am a little princess when I'm walking on a leash. If I have a special request it would be to share night time / bedtime and sleep in bed with you. I'm very quiet and I won't hog the covers. I promise. All I will do is go underneath the covers and you'll never know I'm there till the next morning. I promise to give the best kisses you've ever had and I will warm your lap during the cold winter days. I haven't had an experience with really small kids so I probably need to go to a mature home and I could be introduced to grandkids nicely I'm sure. I can fit in with just about anyone. Could I warm your toes during the cold winter months and sleep the night away with you? I am ready to go. Tidbit is a teeny 10lb senior little who in incredibly sweet but does have a laundry list of medical issues including dental disease, luxating patellas, Heartworm, and has a 4/6 heart murmur. He is a very sweet little guy who LOVES to play with other dogs so would do great in a home with another one. He doesn't seem to mind the size of the dog, and seems to want to play with whatever size is in front of him, but another dog seems to really help Tidbit acclimate to his surroundings for sure! We have learned that Tidbit does have storm anxiety but we have some good meds to help him with that! He also visited the vet June 24th and we know that we will be able to neuter him and give him a good dental after he goes through Heartworm treatment, which he completed end of August, and we also learned that his heart is not yet enlarged so yay for that! He will need to have x-rays every 6 months to check on that progress.  Bonaparte's Retreat will be more than happy to take on the costs for his care.November 4, 2024, 1:26 pm

She is extremely timid, so it takes her time to trust people. She does not like to be picked up nor held.
