Story
We found Cookie in the middle of the intersection at the four way stop near Happy Cow Creamery in May 2024. She was so tiny and alone! We checked the homes around the area and no one claimed her. We took her home with us in hopes of finding her owner or a new loving home. She is very timid but has lots of love to give. She loves adults and children and would make an awesome member to your family this Christmas!! I am only finding a new home because I am allergic.

Story
Meet this wonderful dog! Currently staying in a cozy retreat, this pup is on the lookout for a forever family. This sweet dog is under treatment for an upper respiratory infection and will need 14 days of quarantine. Medication will be provided to help them recover. This is contagious to other dogs so meet and greets with other canines are not recommended during this time. This dog will return to the shelter 12/12 If you're interested in meeting this lovable companion, please copy, paste, and complete the link below. This information will be sent to the caretakers for follow-up: https://greenvillefosterteam.tiny.us/meetyourmatch. You can also call/text the Pathway Planning team at 864-467-3952 for more information. We can't wait for you to meet this amazing pup!

Story
Joe is a Chihuahua mix I found him and another pup running down the middle of a busy highway dodging traffic back in August. He’s a good dog listens fairly well but needs the attention to just get him on track. He’s a great lapdog and full of love waiting to be given to his new owner, he’s a great companion and will be by your side. It breaks our heart to rehome Joe but five dogs is just too much for us to handle it at our age and health. So be a kind person with great love of dogs as we are because Joe is full of love . Joe is up on all his shots and has been neutered. Don’t look at this dog if you’re not ready to fall in love with one because it’ll be very easy to do with him. I know we did!❤️

Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Animal ID 251302Date into Rescue: 06/29/2024 Reason for being in rescue: Rocky was surrendered by his owners to a NC shelter. Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled him from the shelter  Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Rocky is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.  Weight: 15.5 lbs Height: 14 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No, but he would enjoy one What kind of home would be best for me? Rocky is a very loyal and protective companion, but Rocky also has some strong opinions, and one of them is very clear: He does not trust men and is NOT a fan of their company. For this reason, he's looking for a home where he can feel safe, loved and more importantly understood. Rocky is the perfect companion for a patient, confident woman who appreciates a dog with just a little spice! What can we say - this boy is all chihuahua! Because Rocky has such a strong personality, he will need to be placed with a dog-savy adopter who has experience with dogs like Rocky or is familiar with the breed and their quirks. Rocky's ideal home is a single, female adopter with no children or men in the home. He does not mind other dogs, and we think he would enjoy having another dog around, but it is not required. Rocky would also love to have a small fenced in yard as well, but it is not required as long as his adopter plans to give him plenty of walks, exercise and playtime! Most importantly, Rocky needs someone who is willing to respect his boundaries and accept his quirks.  What is my personality like? Rocky and his 3 children were surrendered by their owners to a NC animal shelter. No reason was given. Maybe they were puppies that didn't sell. There was no mama dog with the family. Regardless, we are thankful they are with us. Meet Rocky! A spunky chocolate boy with a big personality packed into his tiny frame! He's a feisty, independent boy who is a true sweetheart — if you're the right person. Rocky is very intelligent and does great with potty training and basic manners. Once Rocky trusts you, he becomes your shadow. He will follow you around the house, snuggle up on your couch and protect you from any potential intruders! He's the epitome of all things Chihuahua! He loves squeaky toys, yummy treats and basking in the sun ... Rocky deserves a human who sees his quirks as unique traits instead of challenges. If you're a woman who's looking for an independent, adorable, sassy and endlessly entertaining companion, Rocky is ready to give you his whole heart — on his terms of course. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Rocky is estimated at 6 years old. We celebrate his birthday 06/29/2018. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. December 5, 2024, 9:35 am

Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled her from the shelter. Foster location: Foster Home in Raleigh, NC Special Needs? Ginger is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Ginger arrived in rescue in September in incredibly poor physical condition. She's had a dental, had a number of lumps and bumps removed, gotten rid of the fleas that were causing hair loss, and is now ready for her retirement home. Weight: 10.5 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $99 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me?  Ginger is a gentle, sweet senior dog who’s had a rough time in the past but is now ready to find her forever home where she can spend her golden years in comfort and love.  As a senior dog, Ginger has some special needs. She’s missing many of her teeth, is blind in her right eye, is hard of hearing, and has arthritis. But none of that affects her sweet, loving personality. She is ready to live out her days in a cozy, peaceful home surrounded by love. Ginger is a senior and acts like one. She is  the sweetest, most gentle senior you’ll ever meet. Ginger is a calm, loving companion who just wants to eat, nap, get treats, and be adored. She’s a perfect fit for someone looking for a low-maintenance dog who is content to relax and enjoy life. Ginger is a lap dog at heart! She loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for a nap and will be happy to snooze away the hours. When she wakes up, she’s ready for a treat or a meal, then it’s back to cuddles and rest. She is a mellow girl who prefers comfort over activity, so while she can walk on a leash, she won’t go far and would rather be carried around like the little queen she is. What is my personality like?  Ginger’s life hasn’t always been easy. She was once part of a home where she was treated well, but after her owner passed away, she moved to a new place that wasn't kind to her. Ginger was found in a sad and unhealthy condition—living in a cluttered, dirty space filled with debris, cobwebs, and feces. She had feces in her fur and was left with food that had flies on it. Thankfully, Ginger was rescued, cleaned up, and given the medical care she needed. She’s now doing much better, but she deserves a warm, loving environment where she can truly relax and enjoy her remaining years. All Ginger wants is a warm loving  , calm environment where she can be adored. She’s small enough to live in either a house or an apartment and would do well with a single person, couple, or family who is home often and able to take her along on trips. If there are children in the home, they should be older and calm, as Ginger thrives in a relaxed setting. While   enjoys being the center of attention, she’s open to having another calm, respectful dog in the home. However, she would prefer to be the only dog in the household so she can soak up all the love and affection she deserves. If you think Ginger could be the perfect companion for you, please consider giving her the loving home she truly deserves. How do I act when I first meet new people? Ginger is the sweetest senior girl you'll ever meet. She thinks all new people are potential laps to sit in and be loves to be loved on. She's ready to settle into her forever home, where she can be cherished for the wonderful senior she is. Other tips and tidbits: Ginger was seized in a cruelty case, so we don't have any of her historical medical records. We were told she is 13 years old. We celebrate her birthday as 09/25/2011. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
