Story
Emmett is a small, senior dog with a big personality and a strong sense of independence. He’s looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can feel safe and respected. Emmett does not like to be handled or picked up, so his ideal adopter will be someone who understands his boundaries and can give him the space he needs to thrive. While Emmett lives with other dogs, he isn’t interested in close canine relationships and prefers to keep his distance. He would do best as an only pet. A securely fenced yard is essential for this independent pup, giving him a safe place to explore and decompress. Emmett is potty trained but may mark in the house if another dog isn’t fully housebroken. He’s great on a leash and enjoys slow, steady walks, making him a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a relaxed pace. Emmett’s favorite activities include burrowing under blankets, playing with anything that squeaks, relaxing in his crate, and occasionally curling up nearby when he feels ready for affection. Emmett does have advanced dental disease, which cannot be treated surgically due to his grade 4 heart murmur. He is on lifetime medication to manage his condition, and his adopter will need to be committed to ongoing care. Despite these challenges, Emmett is full of spunk and ready to enjoy his golden years in a loving home. If you’re an experienced dog owner with a calm, patient home, no other pets, and a securely fenced yard, Emmett could be the perfect match. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find his forever family. Apply today to give this special senior the understanding and comfort he deserves!

Story
Chihuahuas: big on personality, small on size Meet Patricia! Our four year old, adorable little lady with a calm and quiet personality. Patricia made her way to Mostly Muttz from South Carolina about a year ago. While her history is unknown, we do know that Patricia is a very sweet girl once she has had some time to warm up to you.  Chihuahuas tend to wear their personalities and emotions on their sleeves, are intelligent and extremely loyal. Patricia is crate trained and house trained but could still use improvement on leash. She would benefit from a home that will help her continue to build her confidence. We are looking for a home with a fenced in yard and one without children. She will not be placed in a home with children. Patricia is being fostered in Pottstown (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania). ‘I belong to the people I love, and they belong to me - they, and the love and loyalty I give them’ #chihuahua #mostlymuttzrescue #dogoftheday #adoptdontshop #bigpersonality #loyalty You can apply to adopt PATRICIA at www.mostlymuttz.org/adoption-application/.   Mostly Muttz Rescue PA Kennel License: 10872 ##1129705##

This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Looking for a fun-loving, adorable puppy? Meet Watson! This 10-week-old, 10-pound bundle of joy is full of excitement and energy! We believe his breed mix could be a German Shepherd/Chihuahua and he may grow to around 40 lbs - a perfect medium-sized companion! When Watson isn't playing full speed ahead, he delights in belly rubs and will melt in your arms for snuggles. Watson gets along great with all the other dogs in his foster home. He would do great in an active home with a family ready to teach him the ropes. Watson is all puppy which means he's still learning and will need consistent training, patience, and love to grow into a well-mannered dog. If you’re looking for a trainable, sweet, and energetic pup to add to your family, Watson is waiting to meet you!
