Story
Tabitha is a four year-old 7 pound chi mix. Tabi lost her entire world after her owner gave up her and her sister to the local animal control officer as they “no longer wanted them.” Tabitha sat terrified at the shelter. Tabitha was very confused and completely withdrew surrounded by large dogs at the shelter and freezing in her run. BCAA took one look at her sad eyes and knew they had to get her to a foster home where she could relax, be loved, stay warm and learn to trust people (something that appeared to be lacking in her prior home). After a ton of TLC, Tabitha is now ready for her new family. She adores her foster family, jumping around in excitement when they wake up or walk in the door (and especially when she knows they are going to take her outside for a walk). She is shy around strangers and gives a very soft muffled bark when they come to the door. Tabitha loves belly rubs, treats, and her dog beds. She sleeps great through the night, and loves to cuddle up in her bed during the day. She is pee pad trained but will need a little time to acclimate to her new home. She does great on a leash, is heartworm negative, and is spayed/chipped. She would do best in an adult only home. PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Meet little radar.   He is in search of a new home after his parents reached out to us heartbroke because he is just too much with their new child who has started walking.   It makes him a little nervous and he acts out.    Radar is- up to date on all shots and neutered.    We guesstimate he is about five/six years old.and ten lbs.  If your looking for a long car travel buddy, he may not be the best one for you because he gets a little nervous in the car.   But a short ride he can do.   Radar is still a bit leash reactive but LOVES walks and is so fast. He loves to run in circles in our backyard.   He will bark if he sees another dog on a leash while he is out walking. That is a small dog for you. Radar adores people and is a true love bug. He gets super excited and jumpy when new people enter the house, but not in an aggressive way, just very excitable. He quickly calms down, and once he’s calm he will nuzzle in the lap of any person. He wants to be AS CLOSE to his people as possible when lounging, often scratching at my sweatshirt because (not kidding) he wants to get inside of it and cuddle.  That is how sweet and loving he is.    He is incredibly food motivated and reminds you it’s almost dinner time by barking at you.- he is fully house trained, but needs to be put outside when it’s cold otherwise he will sneak and poop in the house. This is only because he hates the cold.- he can sit, and he knows other commands as well but struggles to listen at times, again just like a small dog.   If you think you can give this little one the home and life he deserves, please fill out an application on our website. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Minnie came in with their housemate Choco at no fault of their own. They have previously lived with children ranges all ages! These two are bonded and we ask that they are adopted together as they have been together their entire lives. Choco is definitely the more outgoing of the two, he has a very friendly attitude. Minnie is also playful but needs more time than Choco to warm up. They will need some time to trust & adjust to your family but we believe with the right adopters they will thrive in their new home! They are bundles of joys & love to play with each other, sometimes roughly. We recommend supervision with toys until you learn their behavior and characteristics! As always, everyone in the home must meet with them. To apply, visit our 24Petconnect.com listings, type in this Animal`s ID number, and submit your application, OR visit our County website under Available for Adoption and submit your online application there.

Story
Tiny is currently in foster care at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Tiny is a female Chihuahua mix around 8 months old (January 4th), and is around 10 lbs. Tiny is a spitfire; she will certainly keep you on your toes and laughing for hours. She is quite entertaining and very outgoing. She is not meant for you if you want a quiet, calm lap dog. Tiny has been in rescue at a foster home since she was 6 weeks old, so she has been leash and crate trained and is mostly housebroken. I have nicknamed her "Jumping Bean" because when she wants your attention, she will jump up and down on her back legs and won't stop until you love on her! Video of Tiny: https://youtube.com/shorts/3zArr0xB1aQ?feature=share Tiny is spayed, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPPx3, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test, on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $900 total, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost. Story
Boomer is an 8yo Chihuahua with behavioral issues. He can be a great dog WHEN HE IS ALONE WITH HIS OWNER. HE IS NOT FRIENDLY WITH MEN ONLY OLDER WOMEN. He is ok with kids and other pets as long as he is NOT cornered and they are NOT left unattended. We are looking for someone older, preferably female, to take him, someone who maybe lives alone and needs a canine companion. Boomer is very vocal, any sound he hears he will bark. As previously mentioned he is not friendly with men so keep in mind he will be very vocal and nervous around them. He is housetrained. Praying he finds a very happy home.
