Rio is a typical Boston mix. She is super high energy but loves her cuddle time. She is a bit of a fence barker with her brother Brownie. She is bonded with her brother but likes her cuddle time alone. Brother isn’t as much of a cuddle bug as Rio. She does very well indoors. She was trained to potty pads before coming to us. She does well in a kennel but is not used to being leashed. She would much rather be carried. Barks at the cat but does not attack.

SCAN QR CODE FOR FULL BIO It's true, this golden girl loves to Netflix and chill-out in her favorite blankie but don't let her age fool you. She has the "get up and go!" That would rival a gal half her age. Dorothy enjoys long walks and if you don't know where to go, that's okay because she will tell you! She loves adventure, and laughs in the face of fear. No noise, crowd or adventure scares this girl. Fireworks, crowded outdoor events, bike rides, small and large dogs and just about every person she has met is cool in her book. While it hasn't been tested yet, I'm pretty sure she would love kayaking. In fact, if it's outdoors, there's a pretty good chance she will love it. This golden gal is sweet and gives the best kisses and butt wiggles. One thing to note is that bodily autonomy is important to her. You know when you find that perfect spot on the couch and you're just too comfy to move? She knows too, and isnt too pleased about giving it up. But if you ask nicely, she will happily scooch for her human. Dorothy has normal senior health aliments, foggy eyes (but gets around just fine in her foster home), occasional cough, due to allergies and age. If you are looking for a vocal sassy and oh so sweet life adventure partner, this kid is for you. Dorothy knows her name but will easily adapt to a new one. Her beautiful collar and favorite blankie will go to her new home. Now how awesome is that? She would do well with both siblings or as an only child. Speaking of kids, she holds her own with high and low energy humans of all ages, even the kids at heart ??. She hasn't been cat tested, but did fine with meeting a frog, birds and has a squirrel friend in the backyard. I’m a precious pup at Lex Animal Welfare, guessed to be a chihuahua/boxer mix. We are expecting her to stay in the medium size range. I’m full of energy and love playing with other dogs. I‘m not sure how to play with toys but they have been working on with her. I love treats and with the use of treats I am learning that climbing and jumping are not always acceptable behaviors. I have the habit of wrapping my front legs around your leg if Im feeling ignored or just want to be held and cuddled. JoJo is the sweetest and most affectionate little dog. At 5 years old and weighing less than 5 pounds, he is a small, young healthy adult. He is neutered, potty trained and used to using puppy pads if/when needed. JoJo is incredibly devoted and loves to be by your side constantly, so if you prefer more independent pets, JoJo might not be the right fit for you. JoJo loves to cuddle on your lap or right beside you. He is trained to use doggy steps and used to sleeping in bed at the foot, under the covers. It would be wonderful if his new owner could offer him the same comfort. JoJo is not accustomed to being locked up in a cage, so he would not do well with someone who is frequently away or intends to keep him caged at night. He has spent 5 years in the same routine and would love it if he could find another home with a similar touch.

Bear lost his home due to a illness in the family. He would love to find a new home where he can be a loving companion and receive love in return. Bear is appx. 10 years old but has a lot of life in him. He is playful and likes to chew on his nylabone. Bear likes to cuddle on the sofa with his human and sleep under the covers in bed. He will also happily sleep in his crate. He is crate trained and goes in easily for a treat. Bear is a little fixated on cats so would probably not be a good fit for a home with cats. He loves the big golden doodle in his foster home and does well with the other small dog. He would also do well as an only dog since he would love to have a human all to himself.
