Story
Hi there, I'm Raloot. I'm a bit of a wallflower, but don't let that fool you. I have a world of love to give, I just need a little time to show it. I'm an independent soul, content to explore my surroundings at my own pace. Sudden movements and loud noises make me nervous, so I'd thrive best in a calm, patient home. I promise, if you give me the chance, I'll be the loyal friend you never knew you needed. Raloot is the perfect fit for those seeking a quiet companion who, with patience, will reveal a heart full of love. I'm 7 years old, my weight is 11lbs, neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative and on heartworm prevention, my adoption donation is has been sponsored. If you would be interested in adopting please visit us at 4 Commercial Ave Washington Court House Ohio. Our hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 2pm.These are abandoned street animals or unplanned litters, some of older age, and many with a shy temperament. Their prior history is sometimes unknown. We make every effort to check the basic health and personality of each animal.CAT:Every adoptable cat is currently vaccinated (FVRCPP), vaccinated for rabies (if 16 weeks or older), spayed/neutered, treated for worms, treated for fleas, micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).DOG:Each adoptable dog/puppy is currently vaccinated (DHPP), vaccinated for rabies (if older than 16 weeks), treated for worms, treated for fleas, spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm (if over 6 months of age), micro-chipped and started on ear mite treatment (if required).Upon adoption you will be given a health record to take to your veterinarian. Adoption fees are typically $90.00 for kittens, $50 for cats and $300 for dogs/puppies unless otherwise stated. We accept cash or debit/ credit card only! These fees are subject to fluctuation, if deemed necessary, depending on season, amount of adoptable animals in our program, and/or breed of animal. The adoption fees help us recover a small portion of the money that we spend on these animals. Thank you so much for your interest in a shelter pet!!!

Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a brown and white senior chihuahua looking for a loving home. Lucy is a sweet 12-year-old gal who’s ready to steal your heart! Lucy made her way to CRT when her mother died and her son surrendered Lucy to CRT. Lucy weighs in at 6 pounds. Despite being blind in one eye, Lucy’s spirit is as vibrant as ever. She navigates with grace and loves to cuddle up with her human friends. Lucy is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort. She would do best in a home where people are at home the majority of the time. She seems to do well with other small dogs around her size that are relatively chill and relaxed. She has not been tested around cats. This charming senior lady house trained, making her an ideal companion for a relaxed household. Lucy is leash trained and goes on walks. Though she sometimes panics if she loses sight of you, she calms back down once she finds you again and does well overall on a leash. Lucy is completely vetted and up to date on her vaccinations. She is spayed. She will be microchipped prior to adoption. As mentioned previously, Lucy is blind in one eye. Her other eye is a bit cloudy. Her foster mom has noticed some pacing with Lucy, so she takes melatonin twice daily and is going to start acupuncture soon to see if that helps with the pacing. Lucy does take a monthly heartworm prevention pill. If you’re ready to offer Lucy a cozy spot on your couch and a lot of love, she’d be thrilled to meet you! Lucy’s adoption donation is $250. Story
This cutie is Chance! Chance is a 7 year old, 14 pound male chihuahua mix in need of a forever home. Chance has white and cream fur, the cutest floppy ears, and a great smile! Chance is very playful and loves to wiggle and squirm around. He can be a bit nippy at first when he’s scared and can be a little slow to warm up, but once he trusts, he is the perfect companion. Chance is the perfect mix of energetic and snuggly. Even his foster mom’s resident chihuahua, who usually isn’t a fan of other dogs, loves Chance! Chance is housetrained. He is also up to date on all vaccinations and has been completely vetted. He has been neutered and microchipped as well. He is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm prevention. Chance’s adoption donation is $300. If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. Story
Meet Phil! Phil is a 3 year old male chihuahua ready for his forever home. Phil entered rescue when CRT received a rescue request from Bucks County SPCA. Phil is tan-colored and weighs about 4.5 pounds. Although Phil is three, he still acts like a puppy. He is full of energy and playfulness. He can fetch a toy with the best of them and loves to play with the other dogs for hours! Phil does well with other little dogs; in fact, he’d thrive having another little pal to play with. Phil is very affectionate and cuddly, a true Velcro dog that will insist on sleeping in bed with you. Phil wears a belly band due to marking that may or may not stop in the future. He is still working on his recall and walking on a leash with his foster family. Phil is a barker so not a good fit for apartment living. Phil is up to date on vaccinations and has been fully vetted. He is neutered and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and takes monthly heartworm prevention. Phil’s adoption donation is $300. If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below. Story
Hey there! I’m Poncho! I’m a 4 month old chihuahua/pit bull mix, weighing in at 24 lbs of pure love and joy! I’m all about running, playing, and having a blast, but don’t worry— I’ll never outgrow my love for cuddling! Snuggling up and giving puppy kisses is my very favorite thing to do. I get along great with cats—there’s one in my foster home, and I’m totally chill about her. I’m way more focused on playtime and bonding with my humans and my foster brother, Guy. He’s an alum of Adopt a Pit and is three times my size, but I keep up! Did I mention I’m one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet? If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly little love bug, I’m for you! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   January 7, 2025, 3:14 pm
