TIPPIE, 9-30-24, male chi/beagle mix, ~14.8yo 14#, SEIZED w/Bella. Tippie came into the shelter in late September with Bella as part of a humane case. He was underweight and his skin was in pitiful shape after an unknown period of neglect. Gratefully, a vet visit indicated no serious health issues and his condition was expected to improve with regular care. One of our most committed fosters took him home and he has transformed there. His foster reports that Tippie does not act his age and loves to play with toys and take walks. In between, he is a snuggler and loves to cuddle on your lap. He also has an intense love for food which is no surprise after what he lived through. Although he came in with Bella, they do not need to be adopted together and he has gotten along with the other dogs in his foster home. Please don't make Tippie wait any longer for his forever home--he has been through more than enough. Please call the Athens County Dog Shelter at (740) 593-5415 to meet Tippie.

This little pretty has not had an easy go of it, as she spent many days in emergency care for Parvo and then some (over $8,000 in vet bills!)  Pretty Girl is healthy now and making up for lost time. She is a petite princess and can sometimes be bossy with other dogs.  She has had some exposure to cats in her current foster home. The cats there do not put up with dog nonsense. She is ready to have all your attention to herself. She can be a little timid and unsure so she will need to have your heart and your time.  Because of her rough past, she can be a flight risk.  She will need a physical 3 foot fenced yard that she cannot escape from and since she is so tiny, their can't be any spaces she will fit through. Pretty Girl is still working on leash training so a secured area will be the safest place to get her used to her new family and a leash.  Just be patient with her and you won’t be disappointed.  Pretty Girl is working on using the doggie door and piddle pads in her foster home. If you want the cutest addition to your home – turn in an application!  She is ready for a stable and safe home. Columbus and surrounding areas only please. This handsome guy who is now part of our Foster to Adopt Program received so much love in his foster home and learned to trust and give love back. She says he is such a sweetheart! Prince is currently part of DASH's Prison Training Program where he is learning basic commands and puppy manners. His trainer says this little guy loves to play with his toys but also loves being a lap dog in his favorite snuggle position. He is a lot of fun, loves to play and gets along with other dogs. He can be very vocal at times, especially when he sees someone so he would not be the best fit for an apartment. He enjoys an occasional visit on the furniture and can be a little sound sensitive. He can also be protective of his people. At times he will jump on his humans but he's just really happy to be so loved. This guy is a crowd pleaser, so don't wait to turn in an application.  *Note: Prince is part of our Foster to Adopt program.
