This little pretty has not had an easy go of it, as she spent many days in emergency care for Parvo and then some (over $8,000 in vet bills!)  Pretty Girl is healthy now and making up for lost time. She is a petite princess and can sometimes be bossy with other dogs.  She has had some exposure to cats in her current foster home. The cats there do not put up with dog nonsense. She is ready to have all your attention to herself. She can be a little timid and unsure so she will need to have your heart and your time.  Because of her rough past, she can be a flight risk.  She will need a physical 3 foot fenced yard that she cannot escape from and since she is so tiny, their can't be any spaces she will fit through. Pretty Girl is still working on leash training so a secured area will be the safest place to get her used to her new family and a leash.  Just be patient with her and you won’t be disappointed.  Pretty Girl is working on using the doggie door and piddle pads in her foster home. If you want the cutest addition to your home – turn in an application!  She is ready for a stable and safe home. Columbus and surrounding areas only please. Poor Toby was abused by his previous owners and then left behind to fend for himself after the abusers moved out. Toby is doing great learning to trust humans. Toby is dog selective when it comes to other dogs but is fine with most dogs his size. Toby is doing great on crate training and can be crated after his foster mom worked with him on crating. Toby knows how to use a doggy door and will use a pee pad if he doesn't have access to the doggy door. Toby is very smart and loves all the attention he can get. He loves to spend time hanging out on your lap for love and attention.  Toby would be great as an only dog or could coexist with a friendly dog of his choice of course! Toby knows to sit and knows the word no. Toby is vocal when seeing other dogs. This handsome guy who is now part of our Foster to Adopt Program is receiving so much love in his current foster home. She says he is such a sweetheart! Prince was previously part of DASH's Prison Training Program where he learned his basic puppy manners. He is a lot of fun, loves to play and gets along with other dogs. He can be very vocal at times, especially when he sees someone so he would not be the best fit for an apartment. He enjoys an occasional visit on the furniture and can be a little sound sensitive. He can also be protective of his people. At times he will jump on his humans but he's just really happy to be so loved. This guy is a crowd pleaser, so don't wait to turn in an application.  *Note: Prince is part of our Foster to Adopt program. She just wanted to be accepted and loved. She loves to run and chase birds in the yard. She always come when I call her and is eager to obey. She wants to chase people on bicycles and joggers going by the house and like a lot of other chihuahuas she is protective of her people and home. Her foster dad is handicapped and battling cancer and she choose to be his protector and lays on his lap most of the time that she is in the house. She is a lap dog and a cuddle buddy, either with him or her foster mom at night. Not cat or kid tested. She needs to learn to be secure that there will always be a meal and no need to seek out food , girl likes a tasty snack and will find yours if don't watch out! She can get around the wrappers too. Chloe is very agile along with determined and is able to jump over small enclosures. She still sometimes will lay down and act scared when someone goes to pick her up, so her new family will need to continue to work with her on her confidence.
