Story
🐾🤎 Meet Bandit! 🤎🐾 Say hello to Bandit, an adorable little Chihuahua mix puppy who is ready to steal hearts everywhere he goes! This tiny cutie was born on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2025, making him a very special holiday baby who has been spreading joy ever since. 🎄🐶 Bandit is expected to be a small dog when fully grown. He could possibly even be 100% Chihuahua, but since we don’t know who dad was, there may be a little mystery mixed in there! Whatever his mix may be, one thing is certain—Bandit is absolutely full of personality and sweetness. This little guy is already off to a great start. Bandit is up to date on his shots and is puppy pad trained, which is a big help as he continues learning all the important puppy basics. He’s a smart boy who enjoys learning and loves being around people. Bandit also has a wonderful temperament. He is good with other dogs and kids, making him a great companion for a family looking for a small dog with a big heart. Whether he’s playing with his toys, bouncing around with his doggy friends, or curling up for some snuggles, Bandit is happiest when he’s surrounded by love. Bandit will be neutered when he is around six months old, and the procedure will be covered by the rescue at Auglaize Animal Hospital in Wapakoneta. Right now, Bandit is at that fun and curious puppy stage where everything is new and exciting. He would love a forever family that will help him continue learning, exploring the world, and growing into the wonderful little companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and loving small dog to add to your family, Bandit might just be the perfect match. His future family will gain a loyal little shadow, a cuddle buddy, and a best friend for life. 🐾💕 Bandit is ready to find his forever home—maybe it’s with you!

Story
Charlie just turned 3 years old — a birthday she spent, once again, behind the walls of the shelter she’s called home for almost a year and a half. 🥀She’s a beautiful Rottweiler/Retriever mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul… but you’ll have to earn the chance to see that side of her. Charlie struggles with meeting new people — the world hasn’t always been kind to her — but if someone could just give her a few chances, visit her a couple of times, sit quietly nearby and let her heart unfold on its own… they’d find the most loyal, gentle, loving dog waiting underneath the fear. 💔Once she trusts you, she’s pure sunshine — a snuggly, kiss-giving, tail-wagging angel who will follow you anywhere. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and loves to stretch her legs running around the yard before curling up in a soft bed or a pile of blankets. She doesn’t care much for toys — she just wants love, safety, and someone to finally stay. 🐾Charlie has done well with some dogs here, but she takes her time getting comfortable — both with people and other pets. She’d do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with no young kids or cats. She’s a staff and volunteer favorite because we’ve seen the real her — the dog that greets you with kisses, melts into your lap, and looks at you like you’re her entire world. 🌙We keep telling her that her person is out there. That someone will see past the nerves and realize what a once-in-a-lifetime dog she truly is. But with every day that passes, she waits a little longer.Maybe you’re the one she’s been waiting for. 🖤More information? Story
This is Jax, and he’s hurting in a way dogs can’t explain.Jax is an older guy who lost the only home he ever knew when his owner passed away. One day he had a person, a routine, and a place where he belonged… and the next, he was here. He didn’t do anything wrong. His world just disappeared.Even now, Jax still has so much life in him. He’s surprisingly energetic for his age, a little spunky, a little quirky, and full of personality. He seems to enjoy other dogs and does well with kids, and you can tell he wants connection — he just doesn’t know how to ask for it yet.Jax also tested positive for heartworm, but the good news is he’s almost finished with treatment. He’s been so brave through it all, quietly enduring vet visits and rest when he didn’t understand why his life had changed so drastically.Older dogs like Jax are often overlooked. They wait longer. They watch people walk past. But Jax isn’t done living or loving. He just needs someone willing to open their heart to a dog who’s already lost everything once.If you have room in your home — and your heart — Jax is waiting. He deserves a soft place to land and a second chance at forever. 🖤🐾More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

Meet Punkin Don’t let the tiny size fool you, Punkin has a big personality packed into her little 2-year-old Chihuahua body. This sweet girl loves being close to her people and will happily claim the coziest spot on the couch (or your lap!) as her throne. Her expressive little face and adorable ears make it impossible not to smile when she’s around. If you’re looking for a tiny best friend with a big heart, Punkin might just be your girl. Punkin lives with another dog and cat in her foster home. We are unsure how she will do around kids because she has not been exposed to them yet. Punkin will require a family with a fenced in yard within 45 miles of Toledo, Ohio. Due to high volume, inquiries made on petfinder and adoptapet will not be answered.
