Lily is adorable and wonderful. Lately, she has gotten increasingly scared of sounds in the apartment I live in. I feel like Ive done everything I can to help her feel comfortable and she doesnt seem to feel safe. She sleeps fine one minute, then the next a draft in the sliding glass door whistles or maybe the traffic on the city street proves too much for her. I cant afford a better place right now and working more. She needs a loving home and shell shine because she has a great personality and listens well. She will miss me, but Im confident she will become close to anyone who shows her love and values her as part of their family. She deserves better than my living conditions can give her. If youre unwilling to make her a priority, dont waste your time. She has never been caged, but knows her bed (a dog cage) and uses it as a refuge when shes scared. She loves sleeping in my/your bed and anything less is unacceptable. She will enhance your life. She is also very quiet.

Peanut is a 10-pound, 2-year-old Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home. This little sweet thing is a wild child and displays many puppy-like behaviors. She is working on potty and crate training, gets into things she shouldn't, chews on items left out within reach of her mouth, and wants to play play play, go go go. She follows her humans from room to room, getting underfoot, so is not ideal for those with balance issues as she may trip them. She is great with kids and very friendly with other dogs but has not been around cats. Since Peanut chews things she should not, she must be crated when left home alone but is not a fan of crating and will sing the songs of her people when left behind. For this reason, she is not a candidate for those who live in apartments or homes with shared walls. When it is finally time to settle in, after playing and chewing and chasing and being a busy body, Peanut will snuggle in with her people for a recharge before the fun starts again. She may be little, but she is mighty, and is looking for a young family who can match her energy. If this is you, please fill out an application to meet Peanut ASAP! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. NOTE: Peanut is not available for adoption outside of Ohio at this time. Meet Penelope! She is a Chihuahua Beagle mix. She is about 16 lbs and approx 3 yrs old. She is the mom of the Looney Tune Litter. She is a shy gal at first but does open up pretty quick. She is still working on house breaking, she is good in a crate. She does great with other dogs and cats. She has been around old kids and does good. She is alittle nervous around men. If there is a man in the home she will need him to be patient with her. She would enjoy a quiet home, so we are suggesting a home with less traffic and kids over 10 years old. She does enjoy going on small walks and loves to follow you around the yard. A fenced in yard is highly recommended. Meet the lovable Jack! Jack is a male Papillon/Pomeranian/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix that weighs 24 pounds. Jack is 3 years old. He came to us as an owner surrender. Jack will need a calm adult-only home. Children and their constant loud activity make him very nervous. Jack is very loving and fancies himself a lap dog. He is crate trained and house trained. A home with a physically fenced in yard is ideal for Jack because he can escape. No apartments for Jack. Jack has a beautiful orange rusty fluffy coat. He has a medium energy level and will stand on his legs to get your attention. He has a permanent smile when he sees you. He is just a delight. Jack already knows the commands of “sit, give hugs, and stay.” Before coming to the shelter, Jack lived with two other dogs. He can be bossy with other dogs. As always, a meet and greet is required with your dog. Jack has had no cat exposure but happily co-existed with the pet bunnies and chickens in the home. He really enjoys quiet time, car rides, toys and walks in the park. Jack is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes vetting which includes updated vaccines and heartworm testing. Burrito showed up on my neighbor's porch 8 years ago. He was emaciated, shivering, wet. The neighbors took him to the local shelter where I tracked him down the next day and proceeded to adopt him. He is an energetic little man, loves to play outside (but not when it's frigid cold), go for walks, and cuddle up in the evening. Life has changed and I now have three kids, 3 year old twins and a 6 month old. We have tried and tried to get Burrito to warm up to the boys, but to no avail. He does not care to be around them. When they come at him fast trying to play, he will unfortunately snip at them. With the 6 month old starting to move around more, my wife and I have made the sad decision to try to find a home for Burrito where he can be the center of attention again, and to also avoid an injury to one of the kids. He is house trained, protective, and a good dude. He is great company and loves to be out and about just as much as he loves snuggling on the couch.
