Story
Peanut is a 10-pound, 2-year-old Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home. This little sweet thing is a wild child and displays many puppy-like behaviors. She is working on potty and crate training, gets into things she shouldn't, chews on items left out within reach of her mouth, and wants to play play play, go go go. She follows her humans from room to room, getting underfoot, so is not ideal for those with balance issues as she may trip them. She is great with kids and very friendly with other dogs but has not been around cats. Since Peanut chews things she should not, she must be crated when left home alone but is not a fan of crating and will sing the songs of her people when left behind. For this reason, she is not a candidate for those who live in apartments or homes with shared walls. When it is finally time to settle in, after playing and chewing and chasing and being a busy body, Peanut will snuggle in with her people for a recharge before the fun starts again. She may be little, but she is mighty, and is looking for a young family who can match her energy. If this is you, please fill out an application to meet Peanut ASAP! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. NOTE: Peanut is not available for adoption outside of Ohio at this time. Her bio will be updated when or if out of state applications are accepted. Age: 2 years Adoption Fee: $400

If you have an already approved application, it's possible you take your new friend home that day.** Hi! I’m Goldilocks, and I’m a fearless, little 14lb Chihuahua mix. I’m a huge fan of all kinds of toys, so I hope you’ll have lots of balls, chew toys, and stuffies for me to play with. I love playing with dogs of all sizes… big or small, I don’t discriminate! I get along with kids and cats, too. I’m only 8 months old, so I’ll need a family who will continue to help me learn to go potty outside and walk on a leash. I like being vocal when I’m in my crate, but I don’t have any accidents in there while you’re gone. Cold weather is the worst thing ever but cuddling all nice and cozy on your lap is my favorite activity! Aside from gaining a few pounds to be at a healthier weight, I’m not expected to get any bigger than this, which means I can truly be your lap dog for the rest of my life! If you’re looking for a cute little thing like me, then apply to adopt me today! All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Tank is 10 years old with no health concerns. He has been the only pet since I got him as a puppy so I am unsure if he would be ok around other pets. He does not do well with children which is the reason for needing to find him a new good home. He is an anxious dog and is used to a quiet home to relax in. He will be best suited with someone who will make sure Tank knows you are the alpha as he has an attitude when feeling anxious. He is a typical chihuahua who gets attached to his owner and will follow you around, take long naps, and beg for all the snacks. He’s a great dog with a quirky personality.

Meet Sheryl! This adorable 1-year-old chihuahua mix weighs just 10 pounds and has a sweet but cautious personality. Sheryl came from a hoarding situation, so she takes time to feel comfortable around new people and environments. While she may shy away at first, Sheryl loves to sneak up next to you on the couch once she feels safe. Sheryl adores other dogs of all sizes and would thrive in a home with a friendly canine companion and a secure, fenced yard where she can hop and frolic to her heart’s content. She’s making great progress with housebreaking and is crate-trained. Sheryl finds comfort in her crate and tends to hide under the couch or bed when nervous, making her crate her safe place. She hasn’t met kids or cats yet, but due to her timid nature, Sheryl would do best in a home with older children or no children. She’s still unsure about loud noises and fast movements, so a calm and patient household will help her build confidence.
