Story
Beau is the smaller white one, he is 8 years old, Lilly will be 10 in March. They are the sweetest pair whose only ambition in life is to find a lap to sit on. They are housetrained if you make sure they go out enough and love to cuddle in bed at night (Beau likes it under the covers). They are fully vetted and microchipped and each has had a dental so their teeth are sparkly clean. They are so sweet together but still love their humans. They would do best in a quiet home. Please go to the website and fill out and application if you are interested in meeting them www.susieqdogresq.com

Story
The Kramer family has chosen to sponsor the costs of transport and medical care for the 17 Walworth dogs as a gift in honor of all our fur babies we have lost over the years and all my friends' fur babies that have also crossed the Rainbow Bridge - none will ever be forgotten.  Our wish is that each of the Walworth-furred ones find loving homes where they are cherished.  Love, Cheryl, Dave, Ryan, and Cassie Kramer   Benny, born around August 1, 2020 and weighing approximately 13 pounds, came from a home in the Rochester area that needed assistance with their 30 dogs. The owners welcomed too many dogs into their home and eventually became overwhelmed, leading them to seek help. Benny is a delightful little fellow who loves his humans dearly. He may try to herd them if they stray off course, and watch out for playful nibbles on exposed toes, making him unsuitable for homes with small children. Initially shy around strangers, once Benny warms up to you, he becomes the most affectionate companion, eager to cuddle in your lap after some play time fun.  Benny is house trained but we like to mention that often these small dogs benefit from having potty floor pads handy for those just in case moments.  He's comfortable riding in cars, walking on a leash, and even enjoys kayaking—anything to be close to his people. Benny's cheerful demeanor and compatibility with other dogs, regardless of size, make him an exceptional pet who could easily become your most cherished companion.  Benny is also fine with cats. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. Story
Henry was born around May 24, 2012 and weighs about 10 pounds.   Henry is with us because his owner needed to go into assisted living.  We were told that the previous owner was a heavy drinker and smoked cigarettes one after another all day.  If this is true we wonder how Henrys lungs will do as he continues to age.  Right now Henry is living his best life loving clean indoor air and the outdoors and investigating everything he can.  When he's sure all the days smells have been properly investigated, he's ready to curl up and observe his surroundings next to his favorite humans on the couch.  We feel his hearing and sight are not the best but then again he is supposed to be 12 years old.   Henry has been great with the other dogs here but has no interest in playing with them and rambunctious youngsters get a stern talking to if they disturb his peace.   Henry loves his people but we would not put him in a home with young humans as sometimes his Chihuahua comes out if you ask him to do something he would rather not....did we mention he was 12?  Henry has some lumps and bumps but at his age we won't be getting them tested.  We will be evaluating him for a dental soon but at first glimpse, his teeth look shockingly good.  So this is Henry and he makes us laugh and we are so glad we will be able to help him find his happily ever after.     The Adoption Fee for this dog is $300.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. Story
Rubin was born around August 17, 2020 and weighs about 15 pounds.  Rubin was found in the town of Olean. When local officials contacted Rubin's owner they were told they had abandoned him and did not want him back as their living conditions had to change and they could no longer care for him.   Rubin rides well in the car and would do best as the only pampered pet in his next home.  Be sure to watch his video as we were so surprised to learn how well he could roll over!  Rubin also know 'sit' and he is just SO much fun!   Perhaps there are other things this little smarty knows that we've not found out about as yet.    The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_400.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Story
Taco was born about May 13, 2016 and weighs just a bit over 10 lbs.  He is super adorable with those large pointy ears and such a wonderful, portable, size!  He is with us because a young lady was renting where the owner decided to turn it into an Air BNB and she was unable to find another place she could afford for her and her dog.  Taco is not one of 'those' Chihuahuas and was very friendly to use upon first meeting.  He came into the multiple dog house and was understandably timid with all of them but by the next morning he was comfortable meandering about.  Taco is good on leash and travels fine in cars.  We were told that he barks when something beeps in the kitchen but have not been able to duplicate this behavior as yet.  We are also told he is house trained, but want to be sure to stress that we feel most of these tiny dogs struggle with house training and benefit from having a potty floor pad handy for those just in case moments.  We are told Taco has been fine around children, but he's soooo small that we don't feel they should be so young as to grab at him, try to pick him up and drop him, or fall on him.  One thing we have witnessed is that once he really loved a human here he was possessive of the human when other dogs came along.  So, here he is in all his adorableness hoping to find another family to LOVE him and this time forever! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $__350.00__. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability.
