The Vince we know today has already undergone such an unbelievable evolution from the one that arrived on the farm. He had an at-times snappy aversion to touch. He trembled, hid and withdrew, the results of past trauma we wouldn't want to imagine. Thanks to patience, freedom of choice, and some encouragement from his doggie friends, Vince has allowed us to peel back the layers and show his funny inner personality. If this little guy knows one thing for sure it's that he likes to stay active. After a period of familiarization with the presence of the leash and the motion of putting on said leash, Vince has grown to become quite the walking partner. He can often be found on pack walks with his head held high as he surveys his surroundings. When he's not out on a stroll, Vince can be found zipping around the play yard with his friends...though he's not quite sure how to do this whole "play" thing just yet and will happily take a break from the action to explore his environment on his own. Vince also loves his toys; it brings such joy to watch him toss them about with a jolly demeanor that can't help but make you giggle. Vince still has a great deal of learning to do in how to be a pet dog. The structure we have provided, paired with a gentle approach, has allowed him to understand where he fits in the daily routine. Though he has become quite bold in his now comfortable surroundings, we know it will take a great deal of patience to welcome Vince into an unfamiliar environment. A home that is dedicated to continuing his growth (a process that is both highly challenging and highly rewarding) would be what's needed for this delightfully playful yet still highly uncertain little guy to blossom into his fullest potential. ___ THANK YOU for your interest in a rescue dog! Gandy is a solid delightful spunky little chi mix that was originally surrendered to a southern shelter along with 5 other chihuahuas. We took them all and each one was placed in great homes! Sadly after 2 years Gandy was returned to us at Love Dogs due to personal circumstances in his previous owners life. When he first arrived back to us last week after two years in his home, he was one chunky monkey!! We welcomed him back.. he was always much loved here and he did recognize us.. naturally he had to readjust and was initially a bit reserved and cautious ( part of his nature!). He will never be a confident greeter of new people.. but he is able to and actually wants to feel safe and loved. It didn't take long for him to get into our routine and start trusting us again. Right now Gandy's days are filled with positive experiences only! Playgroups with his buddies Hopper, Navy and Ollie.. long walks around the farm property and tours into the barn to explore all the wondrous horse smells! Gandy is so affectionate and loving to those on his inner circle.. often jumping in our laps and rubbing on us like a cat for attention! He has his favorite friends and with them he gives his whole heart!! Gandy would do well in a home with a another dog or cat but children not so much! He prefers calm and gentle friends who will find it easy to give him space time and choices!! With his somewhat challenging start in life our hopeful buddy deserves a sweet happily ever after!

Rodney is a very curious, mischievous little guy who gets into everything, just like a little puppy. They say this guy is around 8 years of age and weighs 12 pounds, but he acts like a kid and he shows it by running a lot out of pure joy and fun and he adores being outdoors and laying in the sun. He is not good on a leash yet and is not housebroken but we are working on both. Cats are not welcome in his world at this point because he finds them strange and annoying. But he redeems himself with a family by loving to cuddle and snuggle. Can you believe that underbite he has? I mean it is the first thing you sort of notice about him. It might make him look tough but Rodney is a 'softie' through and through. He is just an adorable, sweet pup and he deserves a much better home than the hoarding conditions that he came from. My name is Prince Charlie and I am truly a dog with some royal habits in my everyday life. I was found on a rural back road in Tennessee and I just think that somehow my owners were misguided in dropping me off in the middle of nowhere. They didn’t explain but I think it was financial problems. But apparently the vet says that I am an adorable 8-year-old cream-coloredPug/Chihuahua boy with a heart of gold! I really don’t weigh much at all and the scales at the vet said 13 pounds. What I can say is that I am a strong and “bounce back “ boy that is ready to make your life happier and more loving with me by y our side. But listen up. I may be 8 years old, but I have a whole lot of energy to spare and so “senior” movements are not what I am all about at all. I can have the zoomies like the best of the youngsters out there. Hey…maybe they guessed my age wrong. Anyway, calling me a senior is maybe just in age but I don’t act like one and I don’t intend to. I am a boy that you can take out on walks, hikes, or social events outside and I will help you make more friends than you could ever imagine. I love all the dogs and cats at my foster home. I just love anything and everyone! The one thing that I am still learning after a short time in my foster home, is the house-training skills. But I can say that I am eager to please and so I am a great student trying to pass my house training exam. I am ready to be your fun machine, your love machine and your friendship matchmaker. Silver Sam is 5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Part of a big hoarding case, he was taken to the shelter and there he sat for a few months. Critter Cavalry Rescue could not stand the thought that he was in that out of the way shelter where no one comes to adopt a dog. We pulled 7 dogs from that hoarding case and some had been there for 6 months. Sam is a hoot as they say. He is funny and active and must be watched if in a chain link fenced yard. He might find an escape route and take off just for the fun of it. He doesn’t go far but he sure does love the chase. He is good with other dogs and he is full of antics with the cats. He is almost housebroken and he is just the most loving lap dog ever. Such a great smile and attitude despite some terrible conditions in his previous life. He is with someone that loves the Chihuahua breed and understands all the little quirks. He really has not bad habits except the fun of occasionally making a run for it just to see you panic.
