Story
Smooch is the most loving, protective, family oriented dog that anyone can have. She's very intelligent, doesn't bark alot, she's laid back and been with one family since 12 weeks old. It's going to hurt me to give her up but she needs a loving home and for someone that has time for her. She's been diagnosed with diabetes and medicine is $80. I will pay for her medication if needed. She's loves to cuddle and follow you around the house, she loves family.

Story
Boomer is an 8yo Chihuahua with behavioral issues. He can be a great dog when he is alone with his owner. He is not friendly with men only older women. He is ok with kids and other pets as long as he is not cornered and they are not left unattended. We are looking for someone older, preferably female, to take him, someone who maybe lives alone and needs a canine companion. Boomer is very vocal, any sound he hears he will bark. As previously mentioned he is not friendly with men so keep in mind he will be very vocal and nervous around them. He is housetrained. Praying he finds a very happy home.

Story
Jack and Jill are 2 of the sweetest babies. They are approximately 1.5 years old and Jill weighs 12 lbs and Jack weighs 8 lbs, they are full grown. These 2 have not had an easy life. They did have a home at one point, but the owners moved out and left them in their yard, in a wire crate, alone. No food. No water. The neighbors heard them and due to laws, could not take them, but animal control wasn’t responding so they snuck them food and water over the course of a few days. A week went by, and still, nobody came for them. They lived in a wire crate for a week before animal control came. Thankfully, they let us take them into our care, where they have been. The owners never came back. Jack and Jill have since been fully vetted and are ready for their forever homes. They each have their own personality and would make wonderful lap dogs. They are NOT bonded but if you’ve ever thought to adopt 2, now is a great time 😊 Jack is a little more timid than Jill – he is the smaller one (light tan) and he’s unsure of who to trust. Jill is more friendly and will come to anyone and give lots of kisses within minutes. Jack can warm up to you with patience (and a little time, not much!). In a matter of days he was sleeping in the fosters bed, cuddling right up. Jack is wearing a lap band in some of the pictures/videos because he was just neutered – no other reason, They are both cuddle bugs and love to be next to you. They are house trained. They have met kitties and other dogs, and they don’t mind either of them (you’ll see one of our kitties in the video going up to them). An ideal home for them would be one that is a little quieter and more relaxed. These 2 are not hyper nor do they need a lot of activity. They don’t mind walking around the neighborhood. Jack and Jill would make fabulous lap dogs and loyal companions for the perfect person/family. Jack and Jill are spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, current on preventions, microchipped, and will receive a health certificate prior to adoption from a vet, which is giving them a clean bill of health. To apply to adopt Jack or Jill please fill out an application at: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org

Story
Jameson is a rescue dog who we adopted through Hearts & Bones in NYC (https://heartsandbonesrescue.org/). He is a loyal, loving, snuggly dog who we have made the difficult decision to rehome due to Jameson’s fear of our toddler. Jameson would thrive in a calm, child-free home in the suburbs with a new owner who can be patient and gentle with Jameson's anxieties (of loud noises, strangers, and sometimes other dogs). Beyond that, Jameson doesn’t require much, just someone who will love him, throw toys for him to chase, and give him scratches. If you do that, he will give you more love than you can imagine. Jameson’s new owner would ideally have a fenced-in yard because while Jameson does not enjoy walks on a leash, he loves exploring and running around in a fenced-in backyard.

Story
This sweetie pie is Ella! She's a Chiweenie weighing between 20 and 22 pounds, and because she's mature at about 3 years old, she probably won't grow any bigger. She's good with other dogs, older children (due to her small size), and her foster's cat. Ella wears a short, black, shiny coat, and her eyes are soulful. In fact, if you look deeply into them, you'll see that all she wants in life is to go home with you, to be loved by you. How about it? (posted 12/5/24, TN)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.December 5, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story
Meet Todd, a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix who's just 4 months old and weighs 7 pounds! Because of his projected mature weight of only between10 and 12 pounds, any children in the home should be at least 10 years old or have had experience with such small dogs. This playful pup is full of energy and always ready for a game of fetch! Todd's sweet and friendly nature makes him a great companion. He's a goofball who will keep you laughing with his antics, but when playtime is over, he's all about the cuddles! Todd's soft, medium brown and black coat makes him a delight to snuggle with. Despite his young age, Todd is well-mannered and eager to please! Todd is looking for a forever home where he can share his boundless love and enthusiasm. His infectious joy for life will surely brighten up your days. Adopt Todd, and let his sweet spirit fill your home with love and laughter! Meet Tallie, a delightful blend of Shih Tzu and Chihuahua, who is just 3 years old and weighs 12 pounds! She has a spirit that radiates sweetness and friendliness, making her a joy to be around. Her gentle demeanor is comforting and her playful antics are sure to bring a smile to your face! She wears a medium/scruffy coat of tan and white which will need a trim from time to time. Tallie is also a cuddle enthusiast, her favorite pastime being snuggling up close to those she adores. Despite her playful nature, she is remarkably well-behaved and crate trained. She's the perfect companion for those seeking a loving, playful, and well-mannered friend. She was surrendered by her owner because they could no longer care for her. Tallie also was a mom to 3 puppies! Adopt Tallie and let her fill your home with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love! Story
Winnie is the most adorable little girl with amazing ears! She loves hanging out with her person and having a lap to cuddle up on. Winnie gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and is fine with the kitties. She would be happy in a home with another dog, or as your only little princess. Winnie is crate trained and is doing well with house training but does still use pee pads on occasion. Winnie is 3 years old and 9 lbs. She is ready to find her forever home. Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.)
