Story
Make A Difference in your Community - Adopt a Shelter Dog! Would you like to foster a Shelter Survivor? For more information, visit us at www.sheltersurvivors.com Meet our handsome boy, Franklin! He is very friendly and as sweet as they come. Franklin is approximately 12 lbs and about 3 years old. He enjoys the company of other dogs of all sizes. He would love a home with another dog or two! He is also cat friendly. Franklin is house broken. He loves to go for walks and you will enjoy yourself too since he walks so nicely on the leash. He has medium to high energy and he enjoys getting that energy out by playing a good game of fetch.  Because of Franklin's size, we recommend a family with children 12 years old and older. Franklin is a snuggler, and at night, he prefers to sleep next to his foster family. If you think that Franklin may be a good fit for your home, please fill out an online application! Once your application is received, Franklin's foster family will reach out to you. Franklin is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Story
WOODY is a darling Longhaired Chi. He is 8 years old, 11.8 lbs. Woody has been fully vetted. Sadly he does not have many teeth remaining. He also suffered tramua to his jaw at some point in his life that has set on its own. There is not anything to do about it. We look at it as he is just special this way and so very adorable nonetheless. Woody's foster mom saved his life. She saw him wandering door to door and refused to just leave him. I have the pleasure in rescue of working wich wonderful, caring, loving people. Woody is very sweet and loving. He has recovered now from his extensive dental and neuter and is ready to live his remaining years with his new .... very awesome Family. WARNING... Woody is a heartbreaker! A wonderful little guy saved because his little self matters in this big ole sometimes difficult, crule world for animal orohans. WOODY is located in Dresden,TN (West TN) CONTACT Lisa at 731-499-0739 or oatsvall973@yahoo.com. Out of state transport can be arranged, cost is $185.

Story
Meet Little Bit! He is a 10 year old chihuahua senior. Don't let his age fool you though! This little guy still has plenty of energy. He hardly walks, he loves to run around as quick as his little legs can take him. Little Bit came to us with a tail injury that has since been corrected with surgery. His hair has not grown back on his tail and we are unsure if it will or not. He is crate trained and house trained. He is a very good listener, he will always come when he is called and will stay close to you outside so does not necessarily need to be on a leash. He loves to be given attention, especially neck and butt scratchies. He gets SUPER excited for food time. He will do pretty much anything for a treat and run around in excitement for it. Little Bit has previously lived with cats and does well with them according to another foster. He has also lived with his chihuahua brother, Tiny. He seems to get along better with smaller dogs. We currently have 4 bigger dogs in the house with him and he does not care as long as they are not in his space. Story
Dexter takes a little time to warm up but once he does he’s a little cuddle bug who thinks he is a cat. The perfect family for Dexter is one who will allow him to warm up to you on his own time. Dexter has been through a lot so his family must be understanding and patient until he learns to trust again. If you can do that, Dexter will make the perfect companion. We prefer he is the only dog in the household.

Story
Jack and Jill are 2 of the sweetest babies. They are approximately 1.5 years old and Jill weighs 12 lbs and Jack weighs 8 lbs, they are full grown. These 2 have not had an easy life. They did have a home at one point, but the owners moved out and left them in their yard, in a wire crate, alone. No food. No water. The neighbors heard them and due to laws, could not take them, but animal control wasn’t responding so they snuck them food and water over the course of a few days. A week went by, and still, nobody came for them. They lived in a wire crate for a week before animal control came. Thankfully, they let us take them into our care, where they have been. The owners never came back. Jack and Jill have since been fully vetted and are ready for their forever homes. They each have their own personality and would make wonderful lap dogs. They are NOT bonded but if you’ve ever thought to adopt 2, now is a great time 😊 Jack is a little more timid than Jill – he is the smaller one (light tan) and he’s unsure of who to trust. Jill is more friendly and will come to anyone and give lots of kisses within minutes. Jack can warm up to you with patience (and a little time, not much!). In a matter of days he was sleeping in the fosters bed, cuddling right up. Jack is wearing a lap band in some of the pictures/videos because he was just neutered – no other reason, They are both cuddle bugs and love to be next to you. They are house trained. They have met kitties and other dogs, and they don’t mind either of them (you’ll see one of our kitties in the video going up to them). An ideal home for them would be one that is a little quieter and more relaxed. These 2 are not hyper nor do they need a lot of activity. They don’t mind walking around the neighborhood. Jack and Jill would make fabulous lap dogs and loyal companions for the perfect person/family. Jack and Jill are spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, current on preventions, microchipped, and will receive a health certificate prior to adoption from a vet, which is giving them a clean bill of health. To apply to adopt Jack or Jill please fill out an application at: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org
