Chase is a spirited 13-year-old Chihuahua who still has plenty of energy and zest for life! While it’s difficult for me to part with him, I’m seeking a loving home where Chase can thrive. Personality: Chase is incredibly loyal and loves being with his trusted people. He enjoys staying active, going for walks, and playing, despite being a senior dog. However, Chase prefers a calm, predictable environment. He would do best in a household where he can be the center of attention. Health: Though Chase still has a lot of energy for his age, he’s starting to experience some natural signs of aging, like very slight reduced hearing and sight. Despite this, he’s otherwise healthy and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. Ideal Home: Chase would thrive in a quiet home with someone who understands his needs and can give him the space and routine that help him feel safe. He’s looking for a dedicated owner who will respect his boundaries and provide the companionship he craves.

Story
Lucky was surrendered to Brave after his owner could no longer take care of him. Lucky is an energetic guy who loves long walks (1-2 miles), but is also happy to curl up and nap most of the day. Lucky does well with older children, pre-teens and teens. He is not comfortable around younger children, especially if the environment is busy or chaotic. Lucky is the perfect dog for someone looking for a companion to watch movies with all day. He comes with a wardrobe - hand-made sweater, and raincoat and fleece, which can be combined as a parka. He also has a kennel, dog bed and sofa blanket as well as a harness and leashes.  House trained: YesLeash trained: YesKennel trained: YesRides well in a car: YesGood with other dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with young children (under 10):No, prefers older less rambunctious kidsShy or confident: ConfidentBarks: At dramatic noises outside, or if he hears or sees other dogsApartment qualified: YesHealth concerns or special needs: Heart disease improved with medication, and subsequent narrowing of the bronchi, also well supported by medication. He has had one previous case of pancreatitis 5 years ago so eats a low fat diet. We believe this puppy/dog is a Chihuahua mix and is about 13 years old. This puppy/dog is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $200 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter.  If you’re interested in adopting this puppy/dog, please submit an inquiry or email BraveAnimalRescue@gmail.com to ask about our adoption process (please check your spam or junk email if you do not hear back from us within a few business days). We got Maximus from a family friend in El Paso, Texas at only 6 weeks old. He is sweet, cuddly, and energetic dog. He needs a home with no kids and that can give him lots of love and attention. He is 5 years old and will be 6 in June.

Molly was a pet for a disabled woman who spoiled her rotten. She passed away and is currently living with her owners son who is unable to keep her. She is shy but when she gets to know you she is a snuggler extraordinaire. She sounds tough but is really sweet. She is about 3 and uses an indoor litter box. Molly enjoys walking and playing.
